“Sierra may be John’s wife, but they’re about to get a divorce.” Pamela couldn’t stand Cindy’s tone. “After this, it’s going to be my call whether you stay or go.”

Cindy fell silent. She had a few guesses, but after this lesson, she wouldn’t speak recklessly without proof.

“Keep what happened today to yourself,” Pamela warned as she left. She did not want her own affairs exposed. “It I hear any gossip in the company, I’ll have John fire you.”
