Sierra was a little surprised, but went along with Lucy’s request. “Go ahead.”

“What kind of person is she?” Lucy asked.

“She adapts well,” Sierra answered, going straight to the point. She wasn’t sure what information Lucy wanted. “She can blend in really fast in any environment, as long as she wants to.”

“Can she swim?” Lucy asked.

“I’m not sure,” Sierra said.

“Alright, that’s all,” Lucy replied.

“Maybe you can add my contact number,” Sierra offered.

She genuinely liked Lucy. Every time they met, Lucy left a good impression on her.

“If you have any questions later, just message me. That way, you don’t need to come all the way over here.”

“That works,” Lucy said, and they exchanged contact information.

After sending Lucy off, Sierra called Holly and asked if Holly had time to go somewhere with her. Holly came over at once without wasting a single second.

Half an hour later, Sierra followed the address Jubilee had given her and drove to Section Three on Jade City Avenue. When she turned off the main road and entered the villa district, her mind went blank for a moment.

She honestly hadn’t expected Jubilee’s so–called “place” to be in a villa district. Her mom must have been very rich in the past.

“Here we are, number six.” Holly parked in front of villa number six and glanced at the tightly closed gate. “Are you sure this was your mom’s house?”

“Jubilee said it is,” Sierra replied.

“Then it has to be,” Holly said at once,

They got out of the car together. Sierra walked up to the door and pressed the scanner. Before she could react, a mechanical

voice sounded. “Welcome home.”

The villa’s main door swung open, and a simple, modern living room came into view.

“Wow, your mom is really loaded!” Holly blurted. “If you knew about this place, why would you ever rent anywhere else? You should’ve just moved in.”

“I didn’t know either,” Sierra said.

She really didn’t. Her mom had rarely talked about her past, and Sierra had never asked.

Jubilee hadn’t known she was renting a place to live, so she had never brought this place up. It really was a terrible misunderstanding.

“Come on, let’s look around,” Holly said, pulling her inside, her curiosity obvious.
