Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 319

Chapter 319

Forde received his orders from John without objection.

Lance then asked, Are we going to the Henderson Residence now or the hospital first?

The hospital,John replied.

He knew that if Anna really woke up, Sierra would probably still find a way to leave, even with his threats hanging over her. She wasn’t someone who would stay soft for long.

By then, Sierra and Tommy had already reached the hospital.

When they arrived, Holly was there too. She was quite surprised to see Sierra back in Jade City. You’re back already? I thought you’d be gone in a few more days.

I came back early when things were wrapping up over there,Sierra said.

She led Tommy inside Anna’s ward, then turned her eyes to the bed.

After a brief pause, she asked, Did my mom really wake up?

Holly nodded. That’s right.

Sierra walked to the bedside and saw that her mother was still asleep. Did she say anything?

Not much. She just opened her eyes and looked around a little.Holly then described what had happened. I asked Dr. Smith. He said it was normal and told you not to worry.

Sierra’s heart tightened.

She didn’t expect her mom to wake up at a time like this. When she was losing all hope, even a little bit of comfort helped.

Sierra.Holly watched how Sierra’s expression had barely changed since she walked in. Her instincts told her something she didn’t know about had happened.

Sierra looked up. Yeah?

What’s wrong?Holly asked.

Sierra reached for the nearest excuse. I was just thinking about when my mom will fully wake up.

No.Holly stepped in front of her, glanced at Tommy on the other side of the bed, then lowered her voice by her ear. That face clearly says something happened. What was it?

Sierra stared back at her with wide, blank eyes.

Holly jabbed her in the side. Don’t play the innocent card on me. I can read your expressions and moods better than anyone. I’m willing to bet everything I own that something happened.

Sierra didn’t know how to respond to that, but her terrible mood faded without a clear reason. There’s no need for that.

Did that scumbag John do something again?Holly asked.

John was the only person she could think of who could wreck her friend’s mood like this.

Sierra could overcome the difficulties that she was facing at work. Similarly, she could handle the problems that pop up in her daily life.

But John, being the only factor that could not be controlled, kept bringing her all kinds of headaches.

I’ll tell you later tonight,Sierra answered softly. Let me know when you’re free. I’ll come and see you.

I’m free the whole day today. I’ll just go home with you later,Holly said.

Sierra paused. But before she could speak, Tommy jumped in first. Are you coming back to Campanile Estate with us?

Holly blinked.

Campanile Estate? Not Maple Residences?

Holly was confused, but didn’t ask. She decided to wait until tonight.

Half an hour later, Sierra saw no sign that her mom was about to wake up. She stood up and said to Holly, Watch after Tommy for me for a bit. I’m going to see Dr. Smith and ask about my mom’s condition.

Alright.Holly didn’t offer to go with her. She guessed whatever Sierra wanted to ask wasn’t something Tommy should hear.

Sierra found Dr. Smith just after he finished his work. She asked about her mom first, and his answer was the same as what Holly had told her.
