Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 334

The words just sat there, followed by a long silence.

John and Sierra stared at each other.

He stayed calm, his expression unreadable. Meanwhile, she was burning with anger, stubborn to the end.

After a long time, John finally spoke. His expression was heavier than usual. I want you to choose me with your entire being. I know I owe you because of Pamela. I’ll do everything I can to make things right and make it up to you.

Enough.Sierra could not listen to another word.

The only people who can separate us are the two of us ourselves, not anyone else.John felt no better than she did. “Even if I have to take care of Pamela for the rest of my life, my love for you has never changed.

Sierra turned her head away and stopped listening.

She wanted to ask if a promise really had to cost him a lifetime and a marriage.

But the last time she had asked, his answer had made it clear that asking again was useless. He wouldn’t tell her a single thing.

You won’t be able to balance it at all.Sierra knew him too well. If something happens to her, you’ll go, even if it’s in the middle of the night. She can use that promise to hold on to you for your whole life. You’ll never be able to walk away and leave

her.

John paused.

After a long silence, he finally said what he really thought about the situation. As long as our hearts stay together, nothing she does can affect us.

I think it’s disgusting.Sierra didn’t soften her words. Even the air feels dirty when she’s around. It’s not like you don’t know what she did to me.

Back in university, Pamela had spread filthy rumors about Sierra and pulled others in to bully her. Every girl in the dorm who spoke up for Sierra had been singled out and punished in one way or another.

In that last year before graduation, Sierra lived in a storm of rumors.

When she ate, younger and older men gave her slips of paper with their contact numbers, as well as crude lines about how well- endowed they were and how long they could last. They even wrote that they didn’t want money, that they were happy to meet up

for free.

During the few minutes of break in large lectures, people stuffed notes into her books right in front of her. Even her texts, emails, and phone calls were not spared.

Some went even further. They used AI to swap her face onto videos and spread them everywhere.

It was the darkest time of her life.

In the end, she couldn’t take it anymore and told her mom. Anna and Lucas stepped in together and finally shut the whole thing down.

Pamela had hidden herself very well. At first, they had no idea it was her. Her phone was also getting the same messages, just like everyone else’s.

They never suspected her until Anna finished digging and told her that Pamela had been the one pulling the strings behind everything. There was just no hard proof they could use.

That was when Sierra finally saw Pamela’s true self.

Chapter 335

I don’t need you to say you’re sorry. I want you to

But Sierra couldn’t go on.

The look in John’s eyes said everything.

Even if he felt sorry, and even if he felt guilty and owed herIf she brought up divorce again, he would still do exactly what he had said that night.

Forget it.John pulled her into his arms, his chest tight.

For the first time, he regretted the fact that Pamela had saved him back then. If she hadn’t dragged him out of the water and he had sunk and drowned, none of this would have happened. Sierra would have gone on to live a happy life with Anna by her side.

ButEven after all this, he still had no way to do anything about Pamela. .

Sierra shoved him away, eyes red. You’re so fake.

I’ll do my best to balance everything so you don’t have to feel so wronged.John looked at her. His dark eyes were as unfathomably deep. As for Pamela, I’ll find time to talk to her again.

That had never been what Sierra wanted.

Meanwhile, the two people outside the door heard every word between them.

Is John really that much of a scumbag?Jubilee asked Lance in a mumble.

Lance gave her a strange look.

What?Jubilee stared back. Was she wrong?

I’m his bodyguard. Is it really alright for you to badmouth him right in front of me?Lance kept a straight face, completely

serious.

Jubilee did not back down. I’m just asking you a question.
