Chapter 355

“How are you feeling now?” Nathan walked into Anna’s ward as if he had the right to be there, clear concern in his eyes. “Do you feel uncomfortable? I can arrange for the best medical care on my side…”
“The care here is better than anything you can offer,” Jubilee cut in without hesitation.
Nathan ignored her. He moved closer toward the bed.
Just before he reached the bedside, Sierra stood up and blocked his way. Her eyes were full of open disdain. “Please leave.”
Nathan held back from arguing with her. “I have something to say to your mom.”
“She doesn’t want to hear you,” Sierra said, unmoving.
Nathan had no choice but to give Anna a look, but Anna didn’t even look back at him properly.
“It’s getting late, Mr. Lynch. You should head home.” John stood beside Sierra, his phone already on silent. “You wouldn’t want tomorrow’s financial news talking about the Lynch Group’s chairman getting thrown out of a hospital.”
Nathan went quiet. Looking at his so–called son–in–law, he liked John even less.
John’s voice stayed calm. “Please.”
Unable to speak to Anna, Nathan dropped all his frustration on John. “Together, then. I have something to talk to you about.”
“Alright.” John agreed without fuss.
“I’ll come see you again tomorrow,” Nathan said to Anna, caring little whether she wanted that or not, before he left the room
with John.
At the end of the hallway, Nathan looked at the young, successful man in front of him. The first thing he said was, “Sierra is my daughter.”
John’s expression didn’t change. He simply stared back.
“The harder you work to stop my people from getting a sample, the more it proves she has a special connection to me.” Nathan’s tone was steady. “Her birthday is in late August. Anna and Lucas registered their marriage in May.”
“So what?” John didn’t take the bait.
“She is my daughter.” Nathan gave his conclusion.
“If you were really sure, you wouldn’t still be testing.” John’s reply was mild. “I don’t know if she’s your child or not. All I know is my mother–in–law isn’t very fond of you.”
Nathan didn’t know what to say about that.
John’s phone started ringing again.
Nathan glanced at the screen and saw the name. He gave a short, cold comment. “You’re no better.”
John didn’t answer.
Inside the ward, Anna was slowly starting to get used to everything after waking up, from the struggle of saying her first word to managing short, smooth sentences. She was forcing herself through everything step by step.
“Don’t worry. I won’t let him come in again,” Sierra promised Anna. Now that she knew how he had treated her mom, she liked him even less.
Anna reached out and patted Sierra’s head as she looked at Anna.
The seat monent, Aria said it straight. “He’s your biological father.”
bilee was stunned.

She couldn’t sit still. She had kept this secret all this time, and now Anna had just said it without any warning!
Sierra paused for a second, then quickly calmed down again and said, “Figures. But in my heart, you’ve always been both my mom and my dad. You’ve already taken the role of the two most important people in my life all on your own.”
Arma’s lips turned into a small smile. Right now, she was nothing like the woman who had just told Nathan to get out.
“Wait, no.” Jubilee blinked. “When did you figure it out?”
“After you told me what happened between him and my mom,” Sierra answered honestly.
