Sierra patted Tommy’s head and didn’t tell him the truth.
“Mommy still has a lot of things to take care of, so I’m not heading back yet. Behave yourself at home. If anything happens, tell me, alright?”
Tommy nodded and wrapped his arms around her, nuzzling against her neck.
After gently telling him to behave, Sierra helped him into the car. She knew that even if she went back with Tommy, John would
never drive her out in front of their son.
However, she didn’t want to step into that place ever again.
Once she sent Tommy off, she went to Holly’s place.
Sierra originally planned to go straight to the hospital to pay the fees, but by the time she rushed from Holly’s, the hospital staff would almost be off work.
When she arrived at Holly’s home and saw no one was around, she took out her phone and called her.
Holly picked up almost instantly. When Sierra asked where she was, Holly didn’t hide what she was doing.
“I’m having a chat with my dad. If I don’t make it back tonight, remember to lock the doors and windows.”
Sierra had just wanted to ask if it was because of her when Holly cut her off first. “Did you sell the ring?”
“I sold it. Sixty thousand.” Sierra answered.
“Only sixty thousand?!” It was the first time that Holly felt that the loss was just too great. That ring was worth well over a million dollars. “He might as well have just robbed you blind!”
“You went to your dad because of…” Sierra tried again, wanting to know if it was because of her.
Before she could finish, Holly anticipated her question and cut her off. “I’m on the road right now, so we’ll talk when I get back.”
Sierra didn’t call Holly out as well. She texted Holly after the call, saying she had already handled things from her side, so Holly shouldn’t fight with her dad.
Half an hour later, Holly replied with just “don’t worry“.
Sierra didn’t hear anything back from her after that.
Sierra got up very early the next morning. She took her bank card and headed straight for the hospital. She couldn’t relax until the money actually went into the hospital account. Only after she paid the bill would she feel better.
She had barely stepped into the hospital when she saw the last person she wanted to see.
Pretending not to notice, Sierra walked straight toward Dr. Smith’s office.
Just because Sierra was ignoring, Pamela didn’t mean Pamela would leave Sierra alone.
Pamela had come today specifically to pick a fight with Sierra. Now that she finally had the chance, there was no way she would let it slip. 1
“Why are you walking away so fast?” Pamela said, blocking Sierra’s path. She carried herself with an air of complete arrogance. “Why don’t we have a chat?”
Sierra moved a few steps to the side to avoid her. But wherever she went, Pamela followed. It was clear that Pamela wasn’t going to let her leave.

Sierra stopped and looked at Pamela with the same open disdain as always. “What do you want?”
“I heard you’re short on money and have been trying to sell the wedding ring John gave you.” Pamela was dressed in the latest designer brands as usual, looking like she was enjoying the whole spectacle. “But it sounds like it hasn’t been going very well for you.”
“What does that have to do with you?” Sierra shot back without hesitation.
“If you really can’t sell it, I can buy it, seeing that we used to be friends,” Pamela said as she flipped back her long, wavy, reddish -brown hair.
She then pulled out a card from her purse.
