Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 433

Chapter 433

Mr. Lynch, do you want Mr. Solomon’s contact information?Robin asked with a straight face after he was done with the gauze. I can give it to you.

I don’t need it,Nathan said as he glanced at John’s pale face. I’m not so bothered by this that I’d target someone who’s not important at all.

With that, Nathan left. Only after getting into his own car did he remember that the reason he had knocked on John’s window in the first place was to ask why he still had not left.

He turned and looked back through the rear window for once. Then, he stopped dwelling on it and told the driver to drive.

John did not leave right away. He had Robin drive to a quieter spot and park there. He stayed until tenthirty, when fireworks bloomed across the sky above the villa.

Only then did he leave.

When the car was driving off, he took out his phone and sent Sierra a message.

[Happy birthday, Sierra.]

Sierra saw it.

She watched the fireworks bloom again and again outside the window and knew he had arranged them for her.

Like Jade City, Harbor City only allowed fireworks when there were special circumstances. During her past birthdays, he had always gone through the proper channels and worked something out with the relevant authorities and used a legitimate reason

to set them off.

This time was probably the same.

At midnight, Sierra opened her chat with him and typed out happy birthday. Her fingertip hovered over the send button. Just as she was about to tap it, she hesitated.

John hadn’t mentioned going back to Jade City lately, and he seemed really relaxed.

ButThey were still not divorced.

After going back and forth in her mind, she deleted those letters in the chat.

Just then, a new message from John popped up.

[Your birthday’s here. What wish do you want to make? (One that has nothing to do with me.)]

Sierra paused.

Every year on her birthday, she had always made two wishes, one for herself and one for him after midnight, when his birthday began. She had once asked why he did not make one for himself and he told her his only wish was to be with her. That wish had already come true. He did not need another.

And in the five years of their marriage, he had made every wish she had made come true for her without exception.

Another message came in from John.

[Tell me and I’ll make it come true for you.]

Sierra closed the chat and did not reply.

Since things were so tense between them now, that kind of ambiguous chat just wasn’t appropriate anymore. Replying would be the same as giving him hope of getting back together. And once he had hope, he would be even less willing to let her go.

John waited five minutes and still got no reply.

He knew she had seen it. The words typingthat had appeared at the chat window after he sent the message was proof enough.

After thinking it over, he sent her another message.

[I got your blessing.]

Sierra stared at the screen. Since when did she give him her blessing?

Holly came out after her shower and saw Sierra sitting there with a slight frown, looking a little bothered. Her eyes turned to the phone in Sierra’s hand. Did John make you mad again?

Not really.Sierra was telling the truth.

Holly rubbed her halfdry hair with her towel and sat down beside her. Have you ever thought about a question?

Sierra turned slightly. What?

If there really is a problem with Pamela and John cuts off all contact with her on his own,Holly asked seriously, what are you going to do when he comes to you asking to get back together?

Nothing.Sierra had already thought it through. We still get divorced, same as before.
