“I don’t need you to tell me that,” Forde snorted, sounding especially pleased with himself.

“Besides Ms. Bell, you also can’t let anyone from the Lynch or the King family sees you,” Lance said, worried his brother would get reckless on his own. “This is about her safety…”

“Stop rambling,” Forde cut in.

Lance went quiet.

Holly was a little surprised when she saw Sierra came back so early. “Didn’t you go have lunch with Louisa?”

“She had another lunch appointment.” Sierra set down her car keys and glanced around. “Where’s my mom?”

“She took Tommy out.” Holly yawned, clearly still half asleep. “She said she was meeting a few people and told me not to wait

for them for lunch.”

Sierra sat down and poured herself a glass of water.

Noticing that something seemed off with her, Holly looked at her again. “Did it go well or not?”

Sierra chose her words carefully. “Pretty well.”

“So, why do you look like something big is about to happen?” Holly raised her eyebrow.

“You were right with your guess earlier.” Sierra said, not wasting any time. “There’s a problem with Pamela’s identity as John’s

savior. She’s a fake.”

Holly was instantly wide awake. Her eyes opened wide with shock. “You’re sure?”

Sierra set down her glass. “She admitted it herself.”

She repeated the whole conversation from the car, then added her own thoughts.

“What we still don’t know is how Pamela knows that person, or how she found out about her.”

What mattered most was John’s side. How had Pamela fooled him? Convincing him she was the one who saved him couldn’t have been easy.

“That part doesn’t matter,” Holly said, her mind already clear.

Sierra looked at her. “Then what does?”

“Your divorce from John.” As an outsider, Holly could see everything more clearly. “Since Pamela’s completely sure that person can help you get your divorce, you should agree to it.”

Sierra frowned. She still disliked the idea.

What had happened back then was not something she could let go of, even now. She truly detested Pamela.

“I know what you’re thinking, but you’re forgetting one thing,” Holly said.

Sierra looked at her.

Holly grabbed a bag of snacks and tore it open. “How vengeful John is.”

Sierra gave everything a thought over.

No matter who the true savior was, the fact that Pamela was so afraid of being exposed meant their relationship was either bad or distant. Otherwise, she could have maintained the disguise forever.

Holly’s idea might actually work.

“Call her,” Holly urged. She couldn’t wait to see John’s face when he learned the truth.

Sierra pulled Pamela’s number out of her blocked list.

After calming herself, she made the call.

When Pamela saw the incoming call, she was already at the hospital where John was staying. She hung up and sent a text

instead.
