“If something feels weird, there’s probably a reason,” John said without hurry. “Any business person’s first instinct is to avoid

risk.”

Pamela’s hands were clenched at her sides.

“Because you once saved my life, I won’t call the police.” John’s tone was gentle, but his aura was getting stronger. “It’s your choice whether you turn yourself in or wait for Dr. Yates to wake up and report you.”
