Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 44

Take it.Solomon placed the card directly into Sierra’s hand. My brother behaved like an idiot. As the older one, I can’t just stand by and do nothing.

Sierra felt the blood in her veins freeze.

She could not put it down, but she definitely could not keep it.

Eden’s lessons are every Saturday morning from eight to eleven,Solomon said as he changed the topic. One hundred and fifty dollars per session. You can choose to be paid after each session or monthly. If she ends up really liking you, we might add more sessions, but we’ll talk to you first.

Sierra wanted to refuse. The rate was generous, but if Solomon was going to be here every time, the money would barely cover

the stress on her heart.

Solomon spoke as if he had seen straight through her.

When you’re here, go see Eden directly. She and the house staff are the only ones at home most of the time.

Sierra looked up without thinking. The urge to refuse inside of her began to fade.

If there’s no problem, I’ll call Eagon now and have him sign the contract with you.Solomon remained patient from start to

finish.

Sierra hesitated. I’d like to think about this a little more first.

If you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to let me know.Solomon sounded exactly like a dependable older brother. I can help you work through them.

She didn’t dare say a word. She couldn’t exactly tell him she was afraid of getting ambushed by him.

My mom’s going into surgery soon, so I’m worried the schedule will clash,Sierra said as she made up an excuse.

You can relax about that. I’ll explain your situation to Eagon,Solomon said; his tone stayed gentle. Eden has plenty of extracurricular classes, so her schedule can be adjusted at any time. If it really doesn’t work, you can simply resign.

He had already said this much. If she kept refusing, it would be too obvious.

She returned the card he was holding, however.

Then please speak to Mr. Lane for me, then. Now that I have the job, I should return this.

Alright.Solomon did not insist.

Ten minutes later, Sierra had signed the parttime contract. She read through every line, and there were no traps. It she wanted to leave, she could walk away at any time with no penalty and no extra conditions.

Solomon had wanted to keep her for dinner, but Sierra made up an excuse and left as quickly as she could.

Sierra had just stepped out through the villa gates when Eagon came downstairs, one hand in his pocket with a relaxed posture.

If John finds out his little bunny has been dragged here to tutor Eden dancing, I wonder what kind of mood he’ll be in.

It doesn’t matter.Solomon still looked just as calm and refined.

Eagon glanced at him sideways. Want anyone to unintentionally inform him?

There’s no need for that. He probably knows about this by now,Solomon replied.

And John did indeed find out about this. He stared at the message Kenneth had forwarded him, and a glint of frost appeared in

his dark eyes.

He didn’t expect Sierra to have the nerve to get involved with Solomon.

She was simply too reckless.

I told you not to push her too hard,Kenneth said, sounding like he was enjoying the spectacle.

He had a knack for kicking people when they were down, too.

Now, look at what you did. You forced her out of your frying pan and into Solomon’s fire.
