“Please ask your mom to help me suppress this,” Sierra sent Holly in a voice message after reading the files on her phone. “Don’t reject it, and don’t publish it either. Just keep pushing it back.”

“That’s what we’re thinking too.” Holly was on the same wavelength as Sierra. “But you still need to be careful. If they contacted my mom’s company, they would have definitely contacted other media companies too.”

“I know,” Sierra sent the voice message back.

Whoever was behind this most likely did not know about her relationship with Hera. Otherwise, they would not have made this move.

The person behind this had avoided media companies in Harbor City and gone with one in Jade City instead, most likely because they were afraid Cyrus or Chairman Lynch would trace it back to them.

With that in mind, Sierra contacted the owner of the biggest media company in Harbor City. As soon as the other side learned it was her, he suggested meeting in person. They agreed to meet in a private room at a high–end restaurant.

The moment Sierra pushed the door open, she saw Opal from the Chapman family sitting inside.

She paused for a second.

Wasn’t she supposed to be meeting the owner of the media company?

“What’s with the surprised looks? That company is mine,” Opal said as she sat there with her usual elegance and a faint smile on her face. She looked at Sierra without trying to hide it, her tone lazy and casual. “I usually let the company run on its own.”

“I know.” Sierra had already looked into it over the past two weeks.

She had chosen this company not just because it was the biggest media firm in Harbor City, but because of the Chapman family behind it.

As one of the four major families, the Chapmans would not easily get involved in the King family’s internal power affairs. They were more likely to treat her fairly when compared to other companies.

Opal lifted her eyebrow. “You knew?”

Sierra sat down across from her. “I was only surprised that you were the one who came.”

The person she had been talking to since the beginning was the man publicly listed as the company’s owner. He was the one to suggest the meeting, too.

“Because I want to meet you.” Opal did not hide her thoughts at all as she looked at Sierra’s composed expression. “And while I’m at it, I want to see what Anna’s daughter is really like.”

“Now you’ve seen me.” Sierra had always been direct. “Can we talk business now?”

Opal’s brows furrowed slightly. She had not expected Sierra to be in such a hurry.

Sierra looked at her, confused.

“Were you really married to John Henderson?” Opal had not stopped studying Sierra, her tone still relaxed. “Did he actually like someone as boring as you?”

“You’re really the owner of Starview Media?” Sierra shot back in the same tone. “You seem pretty unprofessional.”

Opal’s smile deepened, and it only managed to make Sierra look even more confused.

“Are you always this adorably clueless?” Opal asked.

Sierra blinked hard.

Opal smiled. “You’re even cuter now.”

Before Sierra could think any further about her behavior, Opal went on, “I kind of like you now. Would you consider being friends with me?”

“If you’re willing, then we’re already friends,” Sierra said.
