A hint of emotion crossed Tammy's eyes. She instinctively tightly pressed her lips.
"Don't worry. I won't let him take you away." Sierra knew what she was thinking and said to Marcus, who was driving steadily, "Drive faster. Try to get there before Solomon does."
"Got it," Marcus said as he stepped on the gas, and the car picked up speed.
There was only silence in the car.
After that phone call, Tammy went unusually quiet. She did not say a word the rest of the way to Campanile Estate.
After they got out of the car, Sierra had originally planned to tell Grant not to let Solomon in if he showed up. Then she figured the staff would probably be intimidated by him, so she handed the job to Marcus instead.
"If Solomon shows up, don't let him go upstairs."
"Sure," Marcus said.
Sierra looked around and went on, "Keep him in the living room. If he wants to see Tammy, tell him to wait until I come downstairs."
"Alright," Marcus nodded again.
Sierra looked at Tammy and added one last thing. "No matter what he asks, don't answer. Wait until I come down. I'll handle it."
"Understood." Marcus followed every instruction.
Sierra gave a quiet nod, then repeated the same instructions to Grant and the rest of the house staff.
Solomon was very smart. Just like John, he was very good at noticing details. If they did not set things up carefully, he would likely figure out that what she had said in the car was only an excuse, and Tammy pretending to faint would be exposed too.
That would not matter much for Sierra as he would not dare do anything to her. However, Tammy was the one that mattered.
"Come with me." Sierra led Tammy upstairs.
Tammy kept looking at her the whole way. She did not know Sierra well. Their first meeting was at the hospital. But everything she knew about Sierra before that had come from Solomon.
"Hm?" Sierra looked back. She looked like the kind of woman who would dive straight into the problem but also had a powerful charisma.
"Aren't you curious about my relationship with Solomon?" Tammy knew her actions tonight, along with that phone call, had already revealed a lot. Sierra was too perceptive not to notice something was wrong.
"That's your private business." Sierra did not like prying into other people's lives. "I won't ask too many questions."
Tammy pressed her lips and said the same two words she had repeated the most all night. "Thank you."
Sierra told her to get some rest, then opened the door and left.
During the first time Sierra had met Tammy, Tammy had worn a white dress and was surrounded by a quiet, gentle air. Today, she was dressed more formally. She was elegant and composed, with a hint of sharpness in her beauty.
The moment Sierra closed the door, Solomon had arrived.
He wore a custom gray suit, and silver-rimmed glasses rested on his nose. His expression still looked as warm and composed as ever.
