“Follow the car in front,” John said. His gaze stayed on Nicholas’s flashy sports car, which was good for nothing but showing off.
“Of course,” Robin answered.
Desperate to avoid the coming storm, Kenneth tried again. “Before we follow them, maybe you can let me out first. I can go back on my own.”
“Is it urgent?” John’s tone was unreadable.
“A little,” Kenneth replied.
“Then stay urgent,” John said.
Kenneth fell silent.
Robin said nothing. He sensibly made no sound at all and focused on driving.
