Chapter 636

Anna patted Tommy’s head after relaying the message Kenneth gave to him. “Anight.”

She was just about to tell Nathan when she realized he was already gone. At the same time, a message from him popped up on her phone.

[I still think John is up to no good. I’m going to check.]

Anna said nothing and she did not bother stopping him. It really was not appropriate for him to interfere, John would deal with it himself.

Nathan searched as he made calls. When neither Sierra’s phone nor John’s would go through, he added another strike on John’ name in his book of grudges. Then he spotted Lance and Robin standing around like two palace guards, and that only made him more suspicious.

“Have you seen Sierra?” Nathan asked the two of them.

“No,” Lance said.

“She’s upstairs,” Robin said.

Lance stared at him in disbelief while Robin looked right back at him.

“Why would you tell him?” Lance knew they were in trouble now. Given Nathan’s status, he could not exactly stop him too forcefully. “They are discussing something important. It isn’t a good time to be disturbed.”

“Where upstairs?” Nathan asked.

“In the changing room on the second floor,” Robin answered in his usual serious tone. “But they’re talking right now. If you have something to say, I can pass it along.”

The changing room?

Nathan could not stand still after that. He walked right past them and headed for the elevator.

What was an ex doing alone with his daughter in a changing room?

“Mr. Lynch.” Robin tried to stop him.

“I also have important business to discuss with Mr. Henderson.” The moment the elevator arrived, Nathan stepped in and shut the door, making it clear he did not want them following him. “You two stay here.”

Robin and Lance exchanged a look, then took the other elevator up after him.

After pressing the button, Lance said resentfully, “Didn’t you always know how to buy tine with people?”

“This man could become Mr. Henderson’s father-in-law someday. His position is different.” Robin had an idea about the big picture and stayed calmer than Lance. “We can’t stop him too aggressively.”

Lance got anxious. “What if he interrupts Boss and Ms. Bell?”

“Boss will handle it himself,” Robin said.

Lance got even more anxious. If John came out that fast, he and Kenneth would probably get punished even faster. Not only would John and Sierra get nowhere with their relationship problem, John’s future father-in-law would come knocking too.

“That look on your face…” Robin had been watching him closely and caught on at once. “Mr. Henderson and Ms. Bell never said they wanted to talk in private, did they? You locked them in there?”

Lance bit his lip, but he did not deny it in the end.

“Remeth’s idea?” Robin asked again.

“Yes.” Lance nodded.

“You’ve both lost your minds.” The moment Robin stepped out of the elevator, he headed straight for the changing room. A rare trace of worry showed between his brows. “Scheming against Mr. Hendersof… Do you think you have multiple lives, like a cat?”

Lance said nothing.

By the time they got there, Nathan was already outside the changing room. After trying several times and failing to open it, he knocked. His calm voice carried a hint of anger.

“John, I know you’re in there. Open the door.”

“Mr. Lynch,” Lance called out to him and coughed lightly as he walked over.

Nathan shot him a look. As someone from an older generation in the business world, he carried himself with a strong aura.

“The door can’t be opened from the inside.” Lance walked up to it and undid the latch at the top, then unlocked the latch near

the floor. “You have to open both of these first.”

The chill in Nathan’s expression deepened. 1

If someone had locked it from the outside, then what exactly had John been doing in there?

The door opened with a click.

John stood before them, fully dressed.
