Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 650

The members of the Lynch family who weren't part of Cedric's faction would not have to worry too much about the future of the family if the shares were to fall into Sierra's hands.

Judging by how much Nathan and Anna loved their daughter, they would definitely arrange a good marriage for her so her husband could help her manage the Lynch family later.

Nathan saw through them too, but it did not matter.

What he wanted was to use that exact line of thinking, along with John's influence once he arrived, to make the share transfer go more smoothly.

-

More than forty minutes later, Sierra finally arrived at the Lynch's family residence.

The dinner was ready by then, and most of the seniors were already there. Seating at a family dinner followed seniority and status. Other than Daniel and Nathan, the main table also seated several major shareholders of the Lynch family, along with Cedric who had arrived late.

Sierra sat on Daniel's left, but there was also an empty seat beside her.

Someone noticed it, looked around, and asked, "Who is that seat for?"

Based on seniority and status, no one else in the family was qualified to sit there.

"Don't tell me it's for John," someone else at the table said.

"What John?" Someone else asked.

"I heard from Daniel that other than having a family dinner, we're also expecting a VIP from Jade City," someone answered.

"The Henderson family has nothing to do with us. Why would he be here?" another voice asked.

"Come, now. How can you say they have nothing to do with us?" The person who said this was Daniel's second brother. He deliberately lowered his voice, as if worried Sierra would hear him. "On paper, he's Nathan's former son-in-law."

Sierra heard him either way, but she had heard this kind of thing too many times since arriving in Harbor City, so she did not react much to it.

"Daniel and Nathan have business to discuss with me," John said, making it sound like work.

Sierra took a small sip of iced tea and did not respond. She knew he was lying.

Everyone saw their interaction. None of them had expected the CEO of Henderson Group, who was usually decisive and unapproachable in the business world, to be so gentle in front of Sierra. He was completely different from the rumors.

The worry in Daniel's heart finally eased a little as he said gently to Sierra, "No need to restrain yourself at home. These people are all your seniors. Your father will introduce them to you one by one later."

Sierra's eyes shifted slightly, but she didn't speak.

She realized Daniel knew how to choose his timing.

He had called Nathan her father in front of everyone in the Lynch family, leaving her no chance to refute him. If she did, she would seem petty. After all, in a certain sense, those were only someone else's words and had nothing to do with Nathan himself.
