Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 676

Tommy lowered his eyes, looking a little sad. It prompted Anna to comfort him for a long time.

Sierra didn't say a word. She knew Tommy and John too well, so she was completely certain this was just an act from the two of them. As long as she did not show interest in anyone else, Tommy would not be affected no matter what anyone said to him.

Her mother did not understand that, as she let her love for Tommy affect her judgment.

That night, John got what he wanted.

Meanwhile, Nathan spent the night sulking at home.

The next morning, John had breakfast with Sierra and the others. He stayed until after dinner that night before leaving, and when he left, he took Tommy with him. In short, he was taking Tommy to stay at his place for a few days.

Sierra did not stop them.

The moment they got into the car and drove off, Tommy said to John, "I went with you because I want Mom to relax and get some proper rest. It's not because I forgave you."

Although Sierra had taken time off and stayed home before, she still had to worry about everything involving him every day and spend time playing with him. He did not want her to be so tired.

She should be able to put everything down and have two days that were completely free.

"I know," John replied calmly.

Tommy turned to look at him. He was about to say more, but stopped when he saw John's expression, as gentle and loving as always. His dad had always treated him very well, and always went along with whatever he wanted.

He was in the wrong when it came to what happened with Mommy, but...

"Thank you for being so considerate of my wife." John pinched Tommy cheek, indulgence flashed in his dark eyes. "As a reward, I'll allow you to acknowledge me as your dad."

Tommy blinked. His eyes were full of disbelief. "You..."

John pinched his soft cheek again. "You don't want to?"

Tommy's voice was clear. "I don't!"

The pinching hurt him. Hmph.

"I understand." John let go of him, a faint smile appeared on his lips. "You actually really want to call me that, but your pride won't let you. I understand it completely."

"That's normal," John nodded.

Tommy blinked.

John continued, "I've always been accurate at judging people."

Tommy then said, "Then why didn't you see that Pamela came to ruin your relationship with Mommy?"

"No one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes." John had never lost an argument with his own son. "An occasional mistake is understandable."

He had known Pamela had an agenda, but he had not expected Sierra to be so determined to get divorced.

Tommy huffed and stopped talking to him.

Robin, who was sitting in the driver's seat, was tense the entire time. Only after seeing that they were done talking did he relax.

It was lucky that Tommy was the one who said all of this. If Kenneth was the one who had said those things, the cold air coming off John would probably have frozen the inside of the car already, and Cyrus would have been thrown out after the first few lines.
