Regrets Come Too Late (Sierra and Johnny) novel Chapter 677

Tommy stayed with John over the next two days, while Sierra went with Anna to visit a few elders in the family.

In the blink of an eye, it was already the fifth day after the New Year. Most of what needed to be handled had already been handled, and Sierra finally had some free time.

Looking at the rising sun, Sierra thought of what Nathan had said to her that night.

"What are you thinking about?" Anna came to her side.

"I was thinking if I should visit the King family and check on Cyrus." Sierra looked at Anna as she spoke, direct as always. "On New Year's Eve, he said he had just slipped and fell."

Before dinner was served on New Year's Eve, her mother had specifically told them not to put any green onions in some of them. Later, Sierra realized Cyrus was the one who did not eat any green onions. Otherwise, she would not have specified it.

"Go if you want to," Anna said, her expression unchanged. "If you leave now, you should make it in time for lunch."

Sierra smiled. "You make it sound like I'm going there for a free lunch."

Anna nodded. "You can accept the free lunch from the King Family."

Sierra paused.

Anna patted Sierra's head. "Go. Take Marcus and Tony with you."

Sierra asked one more question. "What about you?"

"I'm not going." Anna's expression was calm, without the slightest emotion in her eyes. "When they're my guests, I can show my concern. Beyond that, they're simply strangers to me."

Sierra understood it then. She reached out and hugged Anna.

"You really should make the trip for both personal and formal reasons, " Anna said gently and rationally. "People in the circle now know about your relationship with the King family. If you don't visit them, people will talk about it eventually."

They had not managed to get anything just yet, so every step had to be taken carefully.

Sierra nodded.

Cyrus was almost losing his temper.

This brat! Was he doing it on purpose?

"There is some damage to his bones. The doctor suggested that he use a cane when walking from now on and avoid walking on his own whenever possible," Maxwell said to Sierra. "Otherwise, he may risk the injury becoming worse."

Sierra held Cyrus up. "Please, take a seat."

"Don't listen to him. It's not that serious." Cyrus did not want Sierra to worry too much. "It was just a small bump. They're making a fuss over nothing. He's just being dramatic over nothing."

"He's only concerned about you," Sierra said.

Cyrus looked at Maxwell unhappily, then said, "I won't argue with him now because you're here."

After that, Sierra sat there and chatted with Cyrus.
