There was no time for Nicholas to think about what had just happened. When he saw John walking farther away with Sierra in his arms, he immediately followed him.

It was late at night, Sierra was drunk, and there was no guarantee John would not take advantage of her.

John noticed but did not stop him, allowing Nicholas to step into the elevator as well.

Nicholas stood openly at his side with a clear message in his posture. He was going to watch John and make sure nothing happened to Sierra.

John could not even be bothered to spare him a glance.

Soon, they reached the eighteenth floor.

The bodyguards at the door nodded when they saw John. Mr. Rogers also greeted him. Sir.

Where’s Tommy?John asked.

Master Tommy is inside reading,Mr. Rogers reported. He has already had dinner, but he keeps asking when Ms. Brooks will be back.

John did not deny and admitted it, She drank because of me. I wanted to teach her a lesson.

Tommy was clearly unhappy.

I’ll put her on the bed first,John said, walking toward the bedroom. We’ll talk about this later.

Tommy did not stop him.

In his memory, his mom almost never drank. The only time he could remember was at home, when she and Dad were celebrating their wedding anniversary.

She had not even finished one glass of red wine before she got drunk. After that, he had never seen her drink again.

Maybe because she was back in a familiar place, or maybe because she heard the voice of the person she cared about most, Sierra stirred and slowly opened her eyes.

Still half awake, she asked subconsciously, Is Tommy home yet?

Her words were broken and fuzzy, but both John and Tommy understood,
