Chapter 111
Hopefully he won’t see this coming; otherwise, I’m a dead man. I hope this fucker rots in hell or at least gets a serious injury. Maybe he’ll break his penis on the way down.
“Coward,” I taunted, shaking my head and provoking him as he narrowed his eyes at me. “Are you afraid of little old me? A woman?” I teased, “Not much of a man then, are you?” I said bluntly, examining my fingernails as he let out a roar.
His pride was injured. He ran and took a running leap. I dropped instantly and brought my legs up at the critical moment, sending him flying over the balcony and to the ground below. I heard a thud and a yelp. I got up, peering over and saw the wolf limping away, heading directly into the forest. You got lucky, you bastard. Stupid shifter healing ability, I grumbled under my breath as my door burst wide open and Aeress, Jackson and Hades stood in the doorway, looking frazzled and out of breath.
I could have used them a lot sooner, I thought a little annoyed. It was a bit too late now. I’d saved myself.
“What the hell happened?” Aeress gaped as she looked around the room and saw the devastation.
“I had an unwelcome visitor,” I said irritably and nodded towards the balcony, “I threw him overboard.”
“You threw him overboard,” Aeress gaped, “just like that?”
“Wasn’t easy. Bastard almost killed me,” I growled as Hades eyes turned dark, “and he shifted. He was stupid, though so that was a positive,” I remarked, shrugging.
“How can you be so calm?” Hades exploded, “You almost died, and nobody heard anything until it was too late! As it is the guards better have a good explanation for this!”
I turned to him. He was already nodding at Jackson who took off running.
“He’s long gone by now. You won’t find him,” I said wearily.
If he were smart, he would have left the pack but I doubted it, considering I hadn’t gotten to see his face.
“Can you describe him?” Hades demanded, “What were his facial features like? What did his wolf look like?”
