Hades POV

For a moment, I’m in shock. In a state of disbelief, I look at Raven and see the fear in her eyes, the fear she’d plainly been trying to hide until now. My hand rests on her still flat stomach, and something comes over me. Something unexpected. Excitement. I can practically envision what a daughter of ours will look like, the same raven black hair, the same beautiful green eyes as my mate. Our son would also be just as beautiful. I/swallowed hard, my mouth going dry, and then I grabbed her by the back of her neck, pulling her towards me and kiss her fiercely, unable to hide the joy I’m feeling.

It’s like all my reservatiosn have suddenly just faded away in the excitement.

The fear was still there, but not as present now.

“You’re pregnant,” I breathed when we pulled back, my wolf Lucifer squirming with delight, “you’re carrying my pup.”

“I’m carrying your pup,” she laughs with twinkling eyes, “are you sure you don’t mind?” She bites her lip and looks adorably up at me.

God, she’s cute and hard to resist like that. I decidedly shake my head, feeling cowardly for earlier. If I had known she was already pregnant…

I move, laying her on the soft grass, my hand caressing her stomach, feeling awed. “Does it look like I mind?” I asked hoarsely.

God, I was an idiot. No wonder Raven had reacted as she had. I should have realized.

She smiles at me. I move, lying on top of her, my eyes pinning her as she sucks in a breath.
