Rejected, Abused, I Fall for the Forbidden Alpha (by Riley Scott) novel Chapter 266

Chapter 266

Asher POV

“Stay out of sight if you know what’s good for you,” Alpha Jacob instructed, his voice ominous, “lest I feel the need to punish you for your disobedience. These are important guests, and I don’t want somebody of your low breeding disturbing them. Have I made myself clear?” he sneered.

Low breeding. A polite way of reminding me that I was a runt and therefore not desirable.

“I understand,” I bowed my head low as he looked around the dungeon, his nose wrinkling in disgust.

“God, it reeks in here.”

I remained silent. It did reek in here, but what did you expect when old blood littered the walls and floor, and the area hadn’t been properly cleaned in years? I’d grown accustomed to it but had never liked the way the smel lingered on my clothes or body. It made me feel sick. No amount of washing myself ever seemed to make it go

away.

“Go and help prepare for the guests. I want their room spotless before they get here. Once they arrive, you stay upstairs, out of sight. Do as I say, or I’ll make you attend to my friends and me the next time I want entertainment, “he threatened.

The thought of being forced to serve and supply lap dances or worse made me instantly fearful.

So far, I’d been lucky enough to keep my innocence, but the way he eyed me sometimes? It made me scared that he would force me, even though he’d rejected me.

After all, Alpha Jacob was the leader of the pack and could do anything he wanted. Most shifter women were willing, but I’d heard rumors of him taking some of the omegas against their will, and I believed them.

So I wanted to be careful.

I cleaned the rooms, paying special attention to the dust, even though it would do little to make the rooms more appealing.

Alpha Jacob didn’t exactly spend any money maintaining the pack house, and it showed.

By the time I was done, it was late and the guests had arrived. I knew they were vital to Alpha Jacob securing an alliance with them, but I pitied them if they were foolish enough to do so.

I stood upstairs, listening to the sounds of music and laughter downstairs. I should have retired to my room, but I could not help myself. I just wanted to get a glimpse of the man negotiating with the pack. I'[d seen the warriors from afar that had been brought and all of them were exceptionally handsome. Therefore, the Beta, Aaron, would be just as handsome.

I’d even learned his name from the gossip surrounding me.

I stepped back as the room opened, the one that was Alpha Jacob’s favourite, and he stepped out. The man I’d been hoping to see. He was glorious. He held himself with a confidence that was dangerously alluring; his body was fit, his arms and legs bulging underneath his clothing. His eyes were gleaming, and his hair was neatly groomed. He was tall, easily over 6,” and my mouth salivated.

I’d never been so attracted to a man before, but this one? This one was making my heart thud wildly in my chest just looking at him.

Leave Asher. If Jacob catches you, he’ll punish you. You know how painful that would be. This man would never be

He turned towards the stairs, and I flinched, pushing myself back against the wall, beging vehemently the te

The last thing I needed was him informing Alpha Jacob.

I heard the sound of his heavy footsteps and I stiffened before quickly turning my back and slowby making my way down the hallway,

He paused.

I sensed his eyes on me, but I continued, hands down my side, gritting my teeth, beads of sweat on my forehead
