Rejected, Abused, I Fall for the Forbidden Alpha (by Riley Scott) novel Chapter 267

Chapter 267

I turned and hurried towards the stairs, my footsteps heavy and clunky. I headed to my room, my cell to be precise, and almost threw myself onto the mattress.

I was safe. I exhaled slowly in relief.

That didn’t last long.

I heard him before I saw him.

He stepped out of the shadows, the door open wide. His voice was eerily calm while I stared at him, my heart in my throat.

“Didn’t I tell you to stay out of sight?” he said softly.

“I did. I was careful not to be seen,” I stammered.

“You think I didn’t see?” Jacob smiled, but it was chilling, “I came out just in time to see you rushing down the stairs as though you were being chased, just after Beta Aaron left the room. You think I don’t know what happened? You think I don’t know you disobeyed me?”

I could feel my heart racing in my chest.

Words failed me.

He sneered.

“I didn’t mean to. He came up before I could leave. He didn’t see me, I swear,” I babbled, “I kept my back turned. He just thought I was an omega.”

“I told you to stay away,” he moved closer, his lip curled back, “do you think you’re going to seduce him? You think he would go for somebody like you? Slut,” he hissed as I recoiled.

I shook my head in denial.

“No, I swear, I would never…”

“Because you’re mine, Asher. I might have rejected you, but you’re still mine. I won’t let you go,” he warned, his voice turning dark.

I gulped.

He slowly reached over and grabbed a whip from the trolley beside him, and my eyes widened in panic.

“No, please,” I begged.

He moved, standing behind me. I could hear him breathing. I flinched.

“Take off your shirt,” he said lowly.

Thesitated. But I didn’t have much in the way of clothing, and I didn’t want to ruin what I did have.

I trembled and slowly pulled off my shirt.

His hand pushed me so that I knelt, my head bowed down, my back arched over.

Whack.

I cried out as I felt the harsh stinging pain of the whip across my back.

“You little whore. Consider this a mercy because the next time this happens I won’t hesitate to show you exactly what a whore does. You want me to take you, Asher?” he breathed as he whipped me again, “you want me to fuck you and make you a whore for real?”

Another strike of the whip.

“No,” I sobbed, my back feeling raw, “I’m sorry,” I pleaded, “please, stop.”

He didn’t stop. It was like something had possessed him. He hit me, over and over again, until my back was a bloody mess. My screams stopped as my voice grew hoarse. The pain faded until I felt nothing but numbness. I stayed there, bent over, enduring the pain, the humiliation as he took his frustrations out on me.

Finally, he stopped. I dared not move even though I was sobbing profusely.

His hand reached out and traced the wounds on my back. I was thankful he hadn’t used silver, which meant these wounds would eventually heal.

“So soft,” he murmured, “so delicate. It pains me to punish you like this Asher, but you need to learn your place. You might not be my mate, but it’s my duty as Alpha to make sure you remain obedient to me. Maybe I was too reckless when I rejected you,” he said, removing his hand, “maybe I should have considered other options. It’s not unheard of for an Alpha to have a mistress,” he continued, “it would be a beneficial arrangement.”

“I won’t be your mistress,” I spat out.

He just chuckled.
