Rejected, Abused, I Fall for the Forbidden Alpha (by Riley Scott) novel Chapter 39

Chapter 39

“How nice of you to concern yourself with me,” I breathe, my hand rubbing his thigh as I peer into his eyes, “it’s almost as though you care.”

“Of course I care,” he growled, “you’re a guest of my pack. It’s my job to take care of you.”

Lies. There’s no way he would treat another guest like this. He’s acting possessive and protective, and I like it. I like it a lot.

“Me? But you have a fiancée,” I whisper, and then climb onto his lap, sitting on top of him and winding my arms around his neck as he stiffens, “don’t you Hades?” I lick my lips provocatively.

His hands remain by his sides unmoving. He’s attempting to restrain himself. It’s not going to work. I grind against him, and he groans, his hands grabbing at my waist. I have him. I begin to weave my magic, luring him into my little game.

“I know what you want. You can’t hide it, Hades. The only reason you’re here is that you can’t stay away,” I whisper seductively into his ear, “and I’m not exactly complaining now, am I?”

My hair trails down my back, loose strands flowing over his shoulder as he closes his eyes, struggling to breathe evenly. My knees are on either side of his legs. I wriggle, causing a strangled gasp from him. I can feel him now, his erection pressing up against me. He’s aroused. The proof is right there.

“Shit,” he curses, his jaw clenching tightly.

“What’s wrong?” My voice is raspy, “Don’t you enjoy what I’m doing? Don’t you want more from me?”

“This is wrong, I shouldn’t have come with you,” his voice is low and strangled.
