Aeress giggled and nodded, her eyes dancing. “Actually, I do have an ulterior motive,” she said as Alpha Daxton chuckled and Damien shook his head good-naturedly, “I wanted to specifically introduce you to Raven. I um,” she coughed as I blushed, “I thought that you guys might make a good match. She’s kind, sweet, smart…” she motioned with her hands, passionately extolling all my virtues as I shyly glanced away.
“Oh,” Aeress said as though remembering, “according to Jackson, she has great fucking fighting skills.
She seemed determined to make Damien like me. It was embarrassing. My cheeks went even redder. Aeress really was shameless. I should never have let her talk me into this.
“You don’t have to twist my arm,” Damien laughed, “but don’t you feel bad for Raven? She’s blushing so red right now, I feel sorry for her. She’s clearly not used to you yet.”
