Rejected, Abused, I Fall for the Forbidden Alpha (by Riley Scott) novel Chapter 75

Chapter 75

She talks as though it’s a done deal, that her position as Luna has been cemented. She’s wrong. Dead wrong.

She stalks over to my room and grabs my pillow, throwing it at me. I catch it in my hands and stare at her.

“Get out of my sight,” she spits out, “if I’m going to look my best tomorrow, I need my beauty sleep. Your snores will only keep me awake. Go and sleep in the omega quarters where you truly belong.”

“If something happens you won’t have me here to protect you.” it’s a lame objection, but hey, I couldn’t just agree to her request. I needed it to look as though I was reluctant in order for her to believe I was upset.

“I don’t need your protection,” she sneered, “nothing’s going to happen in the dead of night. This cabin,” she still said the word as though it was something dirty, “is heavily fortified and there are guards everywhere. I’m Hades fiancée, my safety is paramount whereas yours,” she intentionally looks me up and down, “isn’t. Your expendable,” she explains gloating.

Bitch. She was going to find out soon enough who was expendable and who wasn’t.

“Fine, if this is what you want,” I said dully, shrugging at her.

Part of me hoped rogues attacked her in her sleep. Or even a snake or tarantula. I’m half tempted to throw in a bug of some description myself.
