Rejected By The Beta, Claimed By His Alpha Uncle novel Chapter 16

“He’s here, Kaya.”

“Who is here?” her friend asked in confusion.

“Alpha Ryker,” she said, panicking,

“Calm down Jenna, are you that scared of him?” there is no one here, Kaya assured her.

Is something going on in your marriage that I don’t know of? “You wanted to tell me something earlier on,” she added.

“I’m confused Kaya, I don’t know if he loves me or not. Sometimes he is nice, other times he hurts me.” He’s not

been home for two weeks now after forcing his way with me.

“He did what to you!?” Kaya thundered in rage causing attraction.

“Shhhhh,” she whispered to calm her best friend down but just then someone she had almost forgotten about walked in.

“Coty!?” Jenna shouted.

“Oh, hi there loser,” Coty smirked.

“Why are you here Coty?” Kaya questioned in annoyance standing up.

“Sit your ass down Kaya, I’m not here for you.” she fired back.

“Leave this place, Coty.” Jenna scowled.

“Not until I’m done with you… you piece of trash.” you think you are all that now because you opened your slutty legs for Damian’s uncle? You are just a whore. “Stay away from my man or….”

“Or what, Coty?” Jenna raged. She was done taking insults from her.

“You dare to talk back to me? Coty thundered, raising her hand to slap Jenna but it was caught midway by a huge figure.

They all gasped at who it was.

Al…Alp…Alpha Ryker? Coty stuttered, staring at the man who held her hand.

Jenna stood void of words. She couldn’t believe he was here and was fighting for her at the same time.

“You dare to hurt my mate!?” He roared in rage ignoring the few people present as they took out their phones to make a video.

He couldn’t care less about his image, all that mattered to his wolf, Ace, was protecting their mate and her babies.

“She asked for it!” Coty shrieked, trying to conceal her fear, but she stood no chance against an Alpha, not to mention a beast like the one in front of her.

“Argh….” Coty screamed in pain as she heard her finger snapped.

Kaya smirked, enjoying the pain on Coty’s face. “He might not be all that bad, she whispered to Jenna who had a lot going through her mind.”

Jenna had so many questions for him, this doesn’t look like a mere co-incident to her. She should be grateful he was defending her but she felt hatred for him too.

“Your mate huh? She’s just a whore throwing her cheap self at my man, Coty cried in pain.”

Alpha Ryker lifted her cheek with a dark smirk. “Listen to me now, nobody except for me has the right to lay a finger on her. Do you understand me!?.”

Coty nodded shakily, noticing his dark eyes.

“What should I do with her?” He asked, turning to Jenna.

Jenna bit her lips nervously, she was scared to get on his bad Side. She didn’t know how he would feel with her

choice.

Coty might be mean to her but she still couldn’t bear to hurt her stepsister.

“Let her go,” she finally said but Kaya was furious.

You are joking, right? Kaya asked glaring at Jenna but her eyes said otherwise. “You want to let her leave for real?” She added.

Coty isn’t worth this time, let’s just let her go.

“Is that what you want?” Alpha Ryker asked her again.

Yes, Jenna nodded.

You should thank the moon goddess but the next time, I won’t seek her opinion and I will make sure I feed you to the rogues! Now leave! He commanded.

“This is not the end Jenna! This is only starting and expect to hear from Dad!” Coty shouted before running out and just then Chase walked in with some guards.

Jenna watched as they blocked others from leaving making sure they deleted all videos and pictures they had

taken.

Even Kaya was left perplexed. “He’s scary,” she whispered to her friend.

“Thought you said he wasn’t all bad,” Jenna said to her friend mockingly but their conversation was cut short.

“It’s time to go home,” Alpha Ryker said, walking towards her. He didn’t wait to listen to her objections and just dragged her to his car with Kaya following behind them.

Kaya is going with us, right? She asked.

Chase will drop her home, he said to her with a hardened face.

Kaya bid her farewell and Jenna watched as she followed Chase to another car.

“Do you plan on standing here all day?” Alpha Ryker asked her from where he was sitting at the back and she took it as a cue to sit at the back too.

The ride home was silent and cold. Jenna had so many racing thoughts she wanted to ask him but didn’t know how

to start.

She could feel his piercing gaze from her back, it felt familiar like the ones watching her at the mall.

“What do you want to say to me?” Alpha Ryker asked, jolting her back from her racing thoughts.

“Huh? Can he read my mind too?” Jenna thought to herself.

His lips curled with a smile, he couldn’t read her mind from their mate bond because he had yet to mark her but her actions gave her away. “I’m giving you one last chance to ask your questions,’ he said to her.

“Have you been following me around today?” Jenna asked, staring into his eyes.

Yes, he replied.

“You still do not trust me? Do you think I have something with Damian?

“Do not mention his name to me!?” Alpha Ryker growled as the warmth in his eyes disappeared.

“I’m sorry,” Jenna said curling back to her shell. “Is he jealous or being overprotective?” She thought to herself.

Alpha Ryker’s gaze met hers and he couldn’t bear the sadness in her eyes.

He lifted her chin up gently, “I was just trying to make sure you are safe but if you don’t like it, I would stop.” He said calmly.

Jenna’s heart lit up with joy. It felt reassuring listening to him sound this way. She agreed to his contract for her safety and it felt good even though it didn’t seem like it.

“Why did you leave me this past week?” She asked again, unsure if he would answer.

“I had something to take care of and I needed to gather my thoughts,” he answered warmly.

“And where have you been?” She shot at him.

And just then they got to the Night Villa.

“That’s a secret,” he said to her.

“Is it something you can’t share with me?” She asked with so much concern.

“I can share, little princess, but it comes with a price,” he smiled like the devil he was.

“What is the price?”

“If you want to know where I have been hiding, move into my room. He teased her.” He knew just how to make her back down.

“I’m not interested any longer, she shot angrily.”

He couldn’t help but smile at her childishness.

The car came to a halt and the door was opened for them to step out with Mrs Anderson waiting outside.

Alpha, the old lady said delightfully, seeing him again.

Old ma’am, Alpha Ryker greeted as he would always call her.

“You left me worried,” the old lady snapped at him. “You look thin already.”

Jenna watched their mother-to-son display. It was the first time she had seen him act jovial.

I will have dinner with her tonight if she wants to, he said to Mrs Anderson and the old lady was so happy.

Jenna Scoffed and walked to her room to prepare for dinner.

She got to her room and had a bath.

As soon as she stepped out of the shower, her phone rang.

Staring at the caller, it was her dad and she knew she was in for trouble as Coty’s words replayed in her ears.

Her stomach churned in anxiety watching as her phone buzzed at the edge of the bed like it was possessed. Jenna stared at the screen. “Father,” no first name, no “Dad.” Just the title that weighed like iron in her heart.

Her hands shook nervously as she exhaled and answered.

“You’re a disgrace.” no greeting, no hesitation, just venom.

“Didn’t expect you to pick up,” he added coldly.

Jenna’s hand clenched around the phone. “Hi, Dad.”

“Don’t get smart with me,” he snapped. “Do you think I wouldn’t hear about what you did to Coty?”

The sound of her stepsister’s name made her stomach knot. Jenna braced herself. “What exactly did I do?”

“She came home bruised and crying, Jenna. She said you made Alpha Ryker beat her up in public. And now I’ve got elders whispering about disunity, doubting the future of my bloodline.”

“Just because the Alpha has your back doesn’t mean you can put me in a more difficult situation!” He scowled in

rage.

A bitter laugh escaped her lips. “Oh, you mean she put you in a situation, and you’re too blind to see it.”

“Excuse me?”

“She’s lying,” Jenna said flatly. “Every word of it. I never touched her nor did I ask Alpha Ryker to hit her, if anything, I saved her life. She lied because she knows I don’t have your trust and she’s weaponizing it.”

“You listen to me,” he snapped, voice like thunder cracking across the line. “I’ve had enough of your petty jealousy. She’s your sister.”

“Step. Sister,” Jenna bit out. “And I’ve spent years walking on eggshells, watching you hand over power and attention to her while you treat me like a defect you regret ever since the death of my mother.”

There was a long pause. The kind that always came before he reminded her who held the leash.
