Rejected By The Beta, Claimed By His Alpha Uncle novel Chapter 19

“We let Jenna go to that meeting,” he said. “Let her show up, sit at that table, and face them. But I want you in that room. Watching every move Coty makes. If she makes one wrong step, I want to know about it before she breathes her next lie.”

“And if she does take the vote?”

“Then she signs her own sentence.”

Ryker stepped closer to the desk, laying his hand over the folder.

“No one cuts Jenna out while I’m alive.”

Chase nodded. “Understood.”

Ryker’s voice dropped, quieter now not softer, but deadlier.

“She’s not just some girl in my territory, Chase. She’s mine and she’s carrying my kids. And they’re about to learn what happens when you threaten what belongs to me.”

Then he paused, eyes narrowing as something else occurred to him.

“Make sure the board knows I still hold thirty percent of Spears Corp,” Ryker said. “They need to remember I’m not just her Alpha I’m a shareholder too. If George thinks this meeting is his alone to control, he’s about to be corrected.”

Chase smirked slightly, the tension in the room shifting.

“So we’re not just crashing a boardroom.”

Ryker’s teeth flashed in a grin that never reached his eyes. “We’re taking it over.”

Jenna’s heels clicked sharply on the cold marble floor, each step echoing in the vast, empty hallway.

The closer she got to the boardroom, the heavier the weight on her chest became. This meeting wasn’t just about numbers. It wasn’t just about Spears Corporation. It was about her future-about what would remain of her mother’s legacy if they succeeded in taking it all from her.

As she reached the massive glass doors of the boardroom, she hesitated. The voices inside were muted, but the tension in the air was palpable. She squared her shoulders and pushed the door open.

Immediately, the room fell silent. The board members, already seated, shifted uncomfortably, their eyes turning to her as if they could already sense the storm brewing. Her stepmother, Chloe, was sitting at the far end of the table, her steely gaze fixed on Jenna as though she were an obstacle to be eliminated.

Jenna straightened her back, refusing to acknowledge the tight knot of fear in her gut. This was her company, her future. She wasn’t about to let Chloe or anyone else take it from her.

Before she could take her seat, a voice sliced through the silence like a blade.

“Well, well, if it isn’t the prodigal daughter,” Coty Spears smirked, stepping inside with Damien by her side. She was always dressed in the finest clothes, but today her attire felt like a costume-a calculated, almost mocking representation of power.

Jenna forced herself to meet Coty’s eyes. “You’re not even trying to hide your pleasure in this, are you?”

Coty’s smile deepened. “Oh, I’m not hiding anything. I’m just here for the show, Jenna. For the spectacle of watching you fail.”

Chloe’s voice came next, cutting through the tension. “You’ve always been a disappointment, Jenna,” she said, her tone cool, but with the sharp edge of years of resentment behind it. “You’ve never been able to handle the responsibility of this company, and it’s time you learned that. Your father and I can do much better.”

Jenna felt a cold chill run through her, but she kept her composure. “You don’t get to decide what I can or can’t handle. I’ve fought for everything I’ve earned here, and I’m not going to let you-

“You’ve fought for nothing,” Chloe interrupted, her voice growing louder. “You’re nothing more than a spoiled little girl who doesn’t know her place. This company belongs to your father and me now. You were never fit to lead it.”

Jenna’s hands clenched into fists, but she held back the wave of anger threatening to rise. She wasn’t going to let

them bait her. Not here. Not now.

Coty leaned in a sly grin on her face. “It’s cute that you think you can still win, Jenna. But it’s over. Your shares are already being transferred to us. All we’re doing today is finalizing what should’ve happened years ago.”

“You’re wrong,” Jenna replied, her voice steady despite the turmoil swirling inside her. “This company is mine. And you won’t take it from me.”

Chloe’s eyes flickered with something between amusement and anger. “That’s where you’re wrong, darling. It was always mine. You were just a placeholder. But now, you’ll learn that no one is irreplaceable.”

The venom in her words stung, but Jenna didn’t flinch. She couldn’t. Not now. Not when everything was hanging by a thread.

Jenna stared as Damian walked up to her, to whisper some words. She could see the jealousy in Coty’s eyes.

“It is not too late to let me have you, Jenna. I am the only one that can save you now,” he whispered to her ears with a smirk.

“In your dreams Damian!” Jenna shot in rage.

The rest of the board members shifted uneasily in their seats, unwilling to speak up, unwilling to take sides. They knew this was personal. They knew the stakes. Jenna could feel their eyes on her, but it didn’t matter. She wasn’t here for them. She was here to protect what was hers.

Before anyone could speak again, George Spears, her father, cleared his throat, commanding attention. “Let’s proceed with the meeting,” he said in his usual gravelly tone. “We’ve come here to finalize the decision. As previously discussed, we’re moving forward with the transfer of shares to a trust account for the benefit of…”

Jenna’s stomach churned in anxiety. She wasn’t listening anymore. Everything was moving too fast. The decision was already made in their minds, but it wasn’t over. Not for her. Not yet.

“Dad you can’t do this to me! I have as much right as every other person in this room to air my opinions!” she said fiercely but no one was listening to her.

“The vote will be taken now,” George continued, ignoring her outburst. “Once approved, Coty will gain control of the shares.”

Jenna’s heart pounded. She wanted to say something-anything to stop them. To turn the tide before it was too late. But her mind raced, and words failed her.

Just as George motioned to begin the vote, there was a sudden crash of movement at the door. The room stilled, and everyone turned toward the entrance, where the heavy doors were flung wide.
