107 Chapter 107
107.Chapter 107
“You took advantage of me!” Sophia accused.
Her mind was still a mess, but she vaguely remembered Easton rushing in to save her and carrying her out of the bathroom.
But after that, everything was just a blur-no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t piece together what happened next.
Easton shot her a devilish grin. “You were the one who made the first move.”
Sophia stiffened, and then suddenly, as if triggered, memories started to surface. She just sat there, completely stunned.
Before Easton got any closer, Sophia scrambled off the bed. But she felt lightheaded and nearly stumbled to the floor.
Easton swiftly caught her around the waist, but Sophia wriggled free of his hold.
She immediately put some space between them and said hurriedly, “Easton, this was just an accident. We’re both adults. Let’s just forget this ever happened and move on, okay?”
As she said this, she tried to hurry past him.
Easton caught her arm, clearly annoyed. “So, Ms. Roth, you want to just act like none of this ever happened?”
Sophia thought, ‘Of course. What, you expect me to compensate you for this?’
Sophia looked straight at Easton, her bright eyes unwavering, and nodded instantly.
Easton thought, ‘Unbelievable. Now she’s burning bridges and pretending nothing happened?’
As Easton struggled to keep his irritation in check and was just about to pull Sophia back into his arms, a knock sounded at the door.
“Mr. Foster, Mr. Julian Roth is here. He’s waiting for you downstairs in the hall,” Bernard called from outside.
As soon as Sophia heard Julian had arrived, she finally relaxed. She quickly shook off Easton’s hand and said, ” Easton, my brother’s here to take me home. Gotta go.”
With that, Sophia hurried over and opened the door.
She nearly bumped right into Bernard and flashed him a sheepish smile. “Hey, Bernard. It’s been a long time.”
Bernard froze in shock when he realized the woman Easton had just carried in was actually Sophia.
“M-Mrs. Foster?” Bernard stammered.
Sophia couldn’t be bothered to explain, so she just brushed past him with a quick, “Sorry, I gotta go.”
Julian had been waiting downstairs for a while when he finally saw Sophia descending the stairs.
He rushed over, panic clear in his voice. “Sophia, are you alright?”
Sophia pressed her lips together and then shook her head lightly. “I’m fine. Let’s go.”
Easton stood at the top of the stairs, coldly watching as Sophia strode out of the foyer without so much as a backward glance. A heavy darkness clouded his gaze, his jaw clenched.
Standing beside him, Bernard instantly picked up on Easton’s thunderous mood.
Julian noticed Sophia sitting in the passenger seat, completely silent. He didn’t press her about what had happened today but just gently reminded her to buckle up.
As they drove into the city, Sophia suddenly remembered something. “Julian, there’s a pharmacy up ahead. Can you pull over? I need to grab something.”
Julian nodded and pulled over to the curb.
Sophia stopped by the pharmacy to grab some pills and a bottle of water. When she got back in the car, she took the pill right in front of Julian.

107 Chapter 107
She said, “Julian, please don’t ask. I really don’t want to talk about it.”
As an adult, Julian didn’t need the details. He could easily guess what had gone down today.
“Sure. Let’s just go home,” Julian said softly.
When Stella got the call from her family saying Nicolas had been rushed to the hospital, she hurried straight
over.
The moment Stella walked in, Catherine stormed up and slapped her hard across the face.
She scolded, “You useless loser! I told you to do something for Nicolas, and what did you do? Absolutely nothing. Now look at him-he’s crippled for life.”
