“I heard from my assistant that you got an internal booking for an apartment. Are you planning to move out?” Julian asked as Sophia took a seat.

“Yeah,” Sophia replied.

Julian frowned. “Why? Everything’s fine at home, isn’t it? Why do you suddenly want to move out?”

Sophia smiled and said, “Julian, you and Annie are getting married next month. Do you really expect me to bother you all the time? Even Uncle Edward moved to the house next door to give you two spaces.”

Julian frowned, clearly not happy. “No. You’re not moving out.”

Sophia knew Julian cared for her, but apart from not wanting to get in the way of his future life with Annie, she had another concern.

She said, “Julian, I just don’t want Annie to know about Lucas yet.”

Julian suddenly got it and fell silent for a moment. “You know, Annie is going to find out sooner or later.”

Sophia said, “I’ll keep it hidden as long as I can. When the time is right, I’ll tell her myself.”

Julian nodded. He thought Sophia had every right to be cautious, especially with so much going on lately. He understood why she wouldn’t want others to know about Lucas.

However, Sophia’s concerns went further. The media in Jenston had no boundaries, and she didn’t want her child exposed to it too early.

If people found out, both Lucas and Sophia would be subject to public scrutiny, which wouldn’t be good for Lucas at all.
