Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 143

143 Chapter 143

143.Chapter 143

“If Crestview Group agrees to partner with Foster Group, we’ll split the profits from the Southern Development Zone project fifty-fifty, and the entire planning and design can follow Crestview Group’s proposal?”

Sophia nodded.

“This project could easily bring in billions, and Easton’s actually offering us a fifty-fifty split? Is he for real?” Julian blurted out, still reeling from the shock.

Sophia just kept quiet, her mind racing.

“Sophia, is Easton chasing after you or something?” Julian asked, eyeing her suspiciously.

Sophia just stared at him, at a complete loss for words.

“Julian, when did your little cousin turn into a golden goose? Am I really worth 1.5 billion? I seriously doubt it,” Sophia said, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

Of all the possibilities Sophia had considered, this was the last thing she expected.

She knew Easton always had women around him, and she wasn’t delusional enough to think she was so irresistible he’d give up billions for her.

Julian burst out laughing at Sophia’s sarcasm, ruffling her hair affectionately. “Come on, Sophia, in my eyes, you’re worth more than anything in the world. No amount of money could ever measure your value.”

Sophia and Julian talked it over for quite a while. The deal was seriously tempting, but Julian knew exactly how Sophia felt; she didn’t want to get tangled up with Easton, especially when it came to shared interests.

Easton sat in the back seat, calmly working through his emails on his tablet.

Gordon drove, kept stealing glances at his boss through the rearview mirror, clearly wanting to say something but hesitating the whole ride.

Without lifting his eyes from the screen, Easton said, “If you have something to say, just ask.” ‘He never misses a beat, Gordon thought, a little nervous.

“Mr. Foster, do you think Ms. Roth will go for it?” Gordon finally blurted out, unable to hold back any longer.

Easton paused, then continued tapping away on his tablet. “Sophia put a lot of thought into Crestview Group’s proposal and the design for the Southern Development Zone.

“As Rothea Designs’ creative director, I’m pretty sure she won’t pass up a chance like this.”

Gordon nodded. “So, do you think Ms. Roth will actually call you herself?”

Easton smirked, “You know how she is, proud to the bone and never one to make the first move. What do you think?”

“So, are you planning to meet her in person?” Gordon asked, glancing back.

Easton let out a deep sigh. ‘If she still says no, I swear I’ll just drag her over and make her sign the contract myself, he thought, half-amused, half dead serious.

When Easton didn’t answer, Gordon knew better than to push his luck and just kept quiet.

After a week of mulling it over, Sophia finally had an answer.

Early that morning, she went straight to Julian’s office. “Julian, I need to talk to you.”

Julian nodded and gestured for her to take a seat.

“So, you’ve made up your mind?” Julian asked.

Sophia nodded. “This deal could be a game-changer for Crestview Group’s future. I can’t let my personal feelings stop us from taking such an incredible opportunity.”

Julian paused, deep in thought. “But if we go through with this, Crestview Group will end up entangled with

Foster Group in ways we can’t even imagine. Are you really ready for that?”

Of course, Sophia understood exactly what Julian was hinting at.

“Don’t worry. I’ve got this,” she said, her voice calm and full of resolve.

Seeing that Sophia had made up her mind, Julian started making arrangements to meet with Easton.

At Foster Group, Easton stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows, talking on the phone with the operations director from the Menolia branch.

“I’ve already shot down that proposal. It goes completely against our green policies here. Tell the design team to start over and get the new plans in my inbox within three days,” Easton ordered.

Easton hung up abruptly, clearly annoyed.

There was a knock at the door.

“Come in,” Easton said, his voice still a bit sharp.

He loosened his tie, looking tired, and sat back down at his desk.

Gordon could tell from Easton’s tone that he wasn’t in the best mood, so he slipped in cautiously. “Mr. Foster, someone from Crestview Group is here.”

Easton glanced up at Gordon. “Is it Julian or Sophia?”
