150 Chapter 150
150.Chapter 150
Easton’s face darkened. “I want a full investigation into what happened today. I need to know if this person has any direct or indirect connection to the accident Grandma had at the nursing home.”
“Yes, sir,” Gordon replied.
Easton continued, “Even if he doesn’t make it, I want his identity and background thoroughly investigated. I need to know who’s pulling the strings behind this.”
“Understood, Mr. Foster,” Gordon said.
Not long after Easton left, Stella got a call from Minnie.
“Stella, that guy got hit by a big truck while he was trying to run. He’s been taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, but honestly, it doesn’t look good,” Minnie said.
Stella was caught off guard. “So, before our people even had a chance to act, he’s as good as dead.”
“Yeah,” Minnie said.
“Guess even the universe is helping me out. But better safe than sorry; make sure you clean up his records. We don’t want Easton or the police tracing anything back,” Stella reminded her.
“Relax. The guy was already a fugitive. Even if they dig up his identity, all it’ll show is that he was targeting the Foster family, the most powerful family in Jenston.
“There’s no way it’ll ever come back to us. Plus, he’s not gonna survive, so there won’t be anyone left to talk,” Minnie reassured her.
After hearing Minnie, Stella finally felt at ease.
“Your man really knows how to handle things. You should focus on keeping him on your side. As for those other boyfriends, just treat them as a bit of fun,” Stella said.
Minnie chuckled softly. “Got it. I know what’s important and what isn’t.”
“As for Irene, I don’t think things are going to get any easier,” Stella said, still feeling uneasy about the whole situation.
“Yeah, after all the chaos today, Easton’s definitely going to put more people on guard for Irene. It’ll be tough for us to try anything again. But don’t stress too much.
“The surveillance cameras didn’t catch a thing that day, and the person behind it never acted directly. There’s zero evidence that what happened to Irene was anything but an accident.
“Even if Easton gets the police involved, they won’t find a thing. In the end, this whole thing will end up going nowhere,” Minnie reassured her.
Stella had to admit Minnie had a point. She’d already settled things with the woman at the nursing home. Even if someone tracked her down in the future, with all the hatred she had for the Foster and Roth families, there was no way she’d ever rat Stella out.
After hanging up with Minnie, Stella turned to look at the child sleeping soundly in the hospital bed, a chilling smile curling at her lips.
‘Sophia, this game of ours is only just beginning. Don’t get too full of yourself.
‘Even if Irene favors you, as long as this kid is around, Easton will never abandon me and our son,’ Stella thought darkly.

Sophia was driving away when she got a call from Julian.
“Sophia, I’m taking Annie back to Harlinton for a few days tomorrow. The Southern Development Zone has already signed the contract with Foster Group, so I’ll need you to keep an eye on things while I’m gone,” Julian

Sophia smiled softly. “No problem. I’ll handle everything. You go ahead and take her back to Harlinton to visit her parents.”
Sophia and Julian chatted about work all the way back, and when she finally pulled into Grandview Estate, she was still wearing her Bluetooth headset.
