Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 152

152 Chapter 152

152.Chapter 152

Gavin from the Southern Development Zone had been waiting in his office for them since early on. When they walked in, he quickly came over to shake their hands.

“Mr. Foster, Ms. Roth, good afternoon,” he said with a friendly smile.

Sophia shook his hand politely.

“Mr. Foster, this is the proposal Foster Group submitted for the bid. I’ve already received the partnership agreement between you and Crestview Group and looked it over.

“Since you guys are going with Crestview Group’s plan, I’m returning Foster Group’s original proposal to you,” Gavin said, handing it over.

Easton nodded and gestured for Gordon to take the file from Gavin.

Emily then passed Gavin a folder containing the updated documents that Crestview Group and Foster Group had worked out together.

“Here you go, Gavin. This is the new project plan from both our companies. Feel free to check it out,” Emily added.

Gavin took the new proposal and reviewed it thoroughly, highlighting key sections and raising questions about each point.

Sophia explained everything clearly and patiently, while Easton sat beside her, listening intently to her every word.

‘No wonder she’s the design director at Rothea Designs, Easton thought. ‘She handles even the toughest questions like it’s second nature to her. The design plan is almost perfect.’

‘Sophia, you might be trying to hide it, but I can still see right through you,’ Easton thought.

The revised proposal Sophia put together was even more flawless than the one she submitted for the bid.

‘She’s got such ambitious dreams and goals tucked away in her heart, Easton mused.

‘I never realized it before, but now I see what Grandma meant. Sophia is definitely not just some trophy wife from a wealthy family,’ he wondered.

After Sophia wrapped up her explanation, Gavin nodded approvingly.

Easton then raised several key points that would need the Southern Development Zone’s active cooperation. Gavin had his assistant take detailed notes on each one.

Gordon also handed over a crucial set of data to Gavin.

“What’s this?” Gavin asked, raising an eyebrow in confusion as he held the document.

Gordon kept it brief and to the point. “It’s an international cruise route analysis map.

“Since we’re aiming to build a global cruise tourism industry and create a national-level tourist destination for Jenston, these routes are absolutely necessary.”

After Foster Group decided to team up with Crestview Group, it also completed the documentation for the remaining routes.

Sophia was genuinely taken aback. She never imagined Easton would be so meticulous, handling every detail in advance and making sure everything was perfectly prepared.

“The collaboration between Foster Group and Crestview Group is truly an unprecedentedly perfect partnership.

“We’re extremely satisfied with this proposal. For the next steps, my assistant will reach out to you one by one as we move forward,” Gavin said.

After Gavin left, Sophia and Emily started gathering their files, getting ready to head out.

Easton walked over to Sophia, his voice gentle. “How about we grab dinner together tonight?”

Sophia looked up at him, her tone calm and distant. “Sorry, Mr. Foster, but Emily and I have other things to take care of tonight.”

Easton couldn’t read a single emotion in her eyes.

It felt like he was just another stranger to her.

That hit him hard, leaving a hollow ache in his chest.

Sophia offered a polite, distant smile. “Mr. Foster, we’ll be heading out now. For any future work matters, I’ll coordinate with Gordon to schedule our next meeting.”

With that, she left with Emily.

Gordon watched as Easton’s face instantly fell, and he could tell his boss was really upset.

‘Never thought I’d see the day when Mr. Foster would be on the wife-chasing journey, five years down the line, Gordon mused to himself.

Easton couldn’t help but wonder if Sophia was upset because she’d seen Stella and the baby at the hospital a few days ago. Worried she might have misunderstood, he hurried after her.

“Sophia, I need to talk to you,” he called out.

Sophia looked surprised, but kept her tone polite. “Mr. Foster, is there something wrong with the project? We still have a bit of time. If you need to discuss anything, we can go back inside.”

Suddenly, Easton grabbed her wrist and dragged her off to the side.
