“Stella took Lucas’s hair. She must suspect Lucas is Easton’s son now. See if you can alter the DNA test results,” Sophia said.

The man’s face darkened instantly. He didn’t bother with the details. He tried to soothe her anxiety and replied quickly, “Don’t worry. I’ll handle it.”

After hanging up, Sophia tried to calm herself, but her nerves were still on edge. Even if the DNA report was altered, she knew Stella wouldn’t just let things slide.

With Stella’s personality, there was no way she would let Sophia keep the fact that she had Easton’s child, Stella would definitely wait for the right moment to blow Lucas’s secret wide open.

No way. I can’t let her get even a chance to hurt Lucas, Sophia thought.

Julian had been away on a business trip with Annie these days. With everything happening right now, Sophia didn’t want to bother them. So she decided to take Lucas to Japoria ahead of schedule, using the kindergarten winter break as an excuse.

After dinner, Sophia called May and asked her to head over to Grandview Estate to help pack up and bring Mia to the airport.

The four of them met at the airport check-in counter. May scooped Lucas into her arms, then turned to Sophia, worry etched on her face.

“It might be best to send Lucas back to Japoria for a while. A lot has happened over the past six months, and with Stella acting unpredictably, my recommendation is that Lucas’s identity remain confidential for both your sakes,” May said.

Sophia got it, and deep down, she couldn’t agree more with May.

At worst, once the Crestview Group’s project settled down, she would split her time between Japoria and

Jenston.

“It’s getting late. Let’s go in. I’ve already told Emily about work, so she’ll handle things for now. I’ll make sure they’re settled, and I’ll be back soon. As for Julian, I’ll talk to him later,” Sophia said.

May nodded, watched them go in, and then left.

As soon as Stella got Lucas’s hair, she called Minnie right away. They went straight to a well-known private DNA testing lab in Jenston. Minnie paid extra for expedited processing and made it clear she wanted the results as soon as possible.

But the staff told them that even if they rushed it, they could only get the results the next day. There was nothing they could do. They couldn’t just stick around all night.

So Stella and Minnie had no choice but to leave, telling the staff to notify them the second the results came in.

“Stella, don’t worry. That’s just how these tests go. We can’t rush it. It’s just between us for now, and the results will be out soon. Just hang tight for one more day,” Minnie said.

Stella nodded,

“If it turns out that kid really is Easton’s, what are you going to do?” Minnie asked. She was genuinely afraid that Stella might hurt someone again, so she wanted to know her plan.

Stella’s eyes flashed with a cold edge. “Before Sophia even realizes we’ve figured out the truth about the kid, I’ll find someone to get rid of him.”

Minnie’s heart skipped a beat. She quickly glanced around to make sure no one was listening, then pulled Stella aside.

“Stella, it’s not worth the risk. Just because we got lucky a few times doesn’t mean we’ll always come out clean. Let’s think of another way to keep Easton in the dark,” Minnie said.
