“Ms. Weston,” the staff member said, “based on the DNA analysis of the samples you submitted yesterday, there is no parent-child relationship between the two individuals.”

Stella took the report, flipping through it again and again, her brows furrowed. “Are you sure there’s no blood relation between them?” she asked.

The staff member nodded in confirmation.

Minnie couldn’t hide her excitement. “Stella, this is awesome news. It proves Sophia and Easton don’t have a kid together, so you can finally stop stressing about it.”

Stella still couldn’t believe the results. She had never let anyone else handle the samples, and this place was top-tier. Celebrities and billionaires all came here for their tests.

She couldn’t put her doubts into words, but deep down, she knew there probably wasn’t any mistake.

Stella held the report, a smile spreading across her face. This was the best outcome. At least no child was tying Sophia and Easton together.

And that meant she still had a shot.

But when it came to proving Sophia had a kid, Stella knew she had to get undeniable evidence, like a photo or something concrete. Only then could she expose the truth and let Easton see for himself that Sophia was already remarried with a child.

Just saying it won’t cut it,’ Stella thought. ‘If I don’t handle this right, Sophia and her people could easily call me a liar and twist the story against me. That would be a real mess!

Stella immediately called Noreen at the kindergarten to ask about Lucas.

Noreen told her that Sophia had called in sick for him today, saying he wasn’t feeling well and wouldn’t be coming to school.

Stella didn’t think much of it. She just figured Lucas probably had a regular cold and was taking the day off.

A few days ago, she had already told Minnie to get the paparazzi to keep tabs on Sophia. If they ever caught her with Lucas, they had to get proof-photos, videos, whatever.

But then Stella realized Lucas hadn’t been to school for several days straight, and that set off alarm bells in

Stella was out of options. Now all she could do was wait and see if the paparazzi turned up anything new. But Minnie told her that they still hadn’t spotted Sophia.

“Stella, what should we do now?” Minnie asked.

“Keep staking out,” Stella replied. “Sophia probably hasn’t gone out because her kid’s sick. Just tell them to stay sharp and keep a close eye on her.”

Stella felt pretty anxious, but she still made herself wait for any news.
