After Stella got Tim’s message, her spirits brightened up right away.

“Come in,” Stella called her assistant.

Her assistant, after getting Stella’s call, rushed into the office. “Stella, anything you need?”

Stella closed the file, her voice much softer than before. “Book me a flight to Harlinton tonight. I’ll be interviewing at the conference myself tomorrow.”

The assistant was confused. Yesterday, she asked Stella about this, and Stella shot her down with clear impatience. But now, in less than a day, Stella had totally changed her mind.

The assistant nodded quickly. “I’m on it.”

Stella leaned back in her chair, thinking about how she had been stressing over Sophia and Lucas for days. It had already been a week, and she still hadn’t heard a peep from them.

After asking around, she learned from Noreen that Lucas had already been withdrawn.

Stella also heard that Noreen had been fired from the kindergarten. As for the reason, Noreen said the principal told her she wasn’t qualified enough for the job.

She really had noticed. I never expected her to move so quickly. I should have realized it sooner, Stella thought.

Now, getting proof that Sophia had a kid was gonna be tough.

After all, Stella had already sent someone to Japoria to look into those five years, but they came up empty- handed.

The Roth family was on another level. They kept everything about Sophia locked down so tight that the only trace anyone could dig up was her enrollment at the Japoria Academy of Arts.

With no other options, Stella had no choice but to put this on hold for now. She had bigger fish to fry.

Minnie’s suggestion was actually pretty clever. If Stella couldn’t win Easton’s heart after all these years, then she would just have to find a way to make him hers.

Even if he really did have feelings for Sophia now, as long as something happened between Stella and Easton, he would have no choice but to take responsibility for her.

Sophia was always so proud. Back then, she misunderstood Easton and Stella and thought they had a kid, so she didn’t hesitate to file for divorce.

This time, Stella was just making sure the story from five years ago became reality.

No matter what Easton was thinking, there was no way he could ignore Stella and her child.

Before they left, Gordon had already called Emily and asked her to pass the message to Sophia. Easton had an hour before his trip and could meet up with them to go over the Southern Development Zone project designs.

Sophia was busy editing some contract papers in her office when Emily knocked and stepped inside.

“Ms. Roth, Gordon from Foster Group just called. He said Mr. Foster finished his meeting and has about an hour before his trip. He wants to go over the project plans with us,” Emily reported.

Sophia clicked her pen shut and glanced up at her.

“So, do we need to head over to Foster Group?” Sophia asked.

Emily shook her head. “Nope, they’re coming here. If I got the timing right, they should be here in about ten

minutes.”

“Alright, I get it. Start getting ready,” Sophia told her.
