200 Chapter 2:00
200.Chapter 200
Stella woke up early and saw signs that someone had already cleaned the room. She felt reassured.
She picked up her phone and called Minnie again.
The phone rang for a long time, but no one answered.
Just as Stella hung up, Minnie called her back.
“Minnie, are you up? Where are you right now?’ Stella asked, her voice full of concern.
“Stella… Please, help me…” Minnie stammered, her voice shaking with fear.
Stella instantly felt something was off. “Minnie, what’s wrong? What happened to you?” she pressed, worry creeping into her tone.
Not long after, a strange man’s voice came through the line. ‘Ms. Weston, Easton wants to see you.”
After the call was abruptly cut off, Stella collapsed to the floor, her legs giving out beneath her.
What should I do? Does Easton know something?’ Stella thought, panic rising in her chest.
No way. Minnie would never betray me, Stella told herself, forcing herself to get up and steady her nerves.
She anxiously paced around the room when, suddenly, an idea struck her.
She grabbed her phone and called Tim. Then, she quickly transferred all the photos from the camera Minnie had left in the room to her own phone, formatted the camera, and stashed it away.
After making sure everything was taken care of, she straightened herself up and made her way to Easton’s suite.
Gordon opened the door for her. As soon as she walked in, she saw Minnie collapsing and trembling, clearly terrified.
Easton sat at the center of the sofa, legs crossed, a cigarette between his fingers, his expression unreadable.
“Easton, what happened here? What’s wrong with Minnie…?” Stella asked, feigning surprise.
Easton’s deep, piercing gaze swept over Stella, his voice icy. “What’s your relationship with Minnie? Did she get into the conference because of you?”
Stella clenched her fists, trying to keep her cool. “Minnie and I are really close friends. She started an advertising company a few years back, but her business has been struggling lately.
“I saw there were so many companies at this event, so I thought I’d bring her along, hoping she could pick up some new clients,” she said.
“Easton, did Minnie do something to upset you? I apologize for her. Since I was the one who brought her, I’ll take responsibility,” Stella said, her voice full of concern.
Easton’s eyes darkened, a cold, razor-sharp glint flashing in his gaze. “Close friends? Would a close friend try to drug you in your own room?”
“Drug me?” Stella gasped, feigning shock as she shot Minnie an innocent, wide-eyed look.
“Oh? So you really have no idea?” Easton said, his voice dripping with skepticism.
Stella nodded, walked over to Minnie, and grabbed her arm. “Minnie, what exactly is Easton talking about? What do you mean, drug?”
Minnie looked at Stella, her face confused, her eyes lost and uncertain.
She didn’t know what to say. Just as she was about to speak, Stella tightened her grip on Minnie’s arm, signaling her to stay quiet.
Minnie seemed to get the message right away. “Stella, I’m sorry. You’ve always treated me so well, but I still tried to get between you and Easton.”
Stella looked utterly shocked. “What are you even talking about? I seriously have no idea what you mean.”

Minnie stayed there, her whole body shaking as she confessed, “Stella, I’m so sorry. I just wanted to get in your good graces. I know you’ve been by Easton’s side for years, and you must really like him.
“So I came up with this stupid plan to set you two up, then leak the story about you spending the night together with the tabloids.
