Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 202

202 Chapter 202

202.Chapter 202

Easton had booked a morning flight back to Jenston. After a long, chaotic night, he was exhausted. Now, he leaned back in the car seat, eyes closed, trying to rest.

When they reached the airport check-in counter, something seemed to cross Easton’s mind. He suddenly stopped and said, “Gordon, have someone check if any paparazzi caught anything today. And make sure the security footage is wiped as soon as possible.”

Gordon nodded, understanding exactly what Easton meant.

“Don’t worry, Mr. Foster. I’ve already got people on it. As far as we know, no paparazzi managed to get any shots. And I’ve had the IT team wipe the security footage.

“No one in Jenston will hear a thing about what happened today,” Gordon replied.

Easton nodded.

He didn’t want Sophia to get wind of any of this gossip.

“One more thing. How did Stella find out my hotel suite number?” Easton asked.

He remembered it clearly, last night, even though Stella was drunk, she still managed to find his room. Whether she was really drunk or just putting on an act, it didn’t matter.

That alone made Easton unable to believe she and Minnie weren’t working together.

Maybe Stella wasn’t the mastermind, but she definitely went along with whatever Minnie had planned.

“Mr. Foster, I was just about to report this,” Gordon said seriously.

“Let’s hear it,” Easton replied.

“I take responsibility for this. When I questioned Minnie, I found out she’s been pretty close with Tim, my assistant in the secretary’s office. Turns out, he was the one who gave her your hotel suite number.

“I’ve already told HR to fire Tim and called the police to look into him. We should have answers soon. I’m really sorry, Mr. Foster. I messed up managing my team, and I’ll take responsibility for it,” Gordon said.

Easton’s face grew even darker. “The secretary’s office is your turf. If your people screw up, that’s on you. Still, be glad nothing major happened. At least now you know there’s someone dirty on your team.

“You’ve always been careful all these years. I’ll let it go this time, but if it happens again, don’t bother showing up in front of me.”

Gordon said, voice trembling with gratitude, “Yes, Mr. Foster. I promise it won’t happen again.”

Sophia and May had been in the office all morning, poring over the project proposal on their computers and discussing what needed to be done next.

Suddenly, a new email popped up on Sophia’s screen.

Without thinking, she clicked on the attachment, and her heart dropped. The photos showed Easton helping Stella into a hotel room, and the timestamp said it was last night.

Sophia froze, her fingers turning white as she gripped the mouse.

“Who the hell sent this? Are they crazy?” May snatched the mouse and deleted the email in a flash.

“Sophia, don’t look. Don’t let that trash dirty your eyes,” May said.

Sophia’s eyes were filled with a pain she couldn’t put into words, but she still forced a smile, trying her best to hide how she really felt.

“I’m fine. Let’s keep going. Where were we?” Sophia said, her voice a little shaky.

May knew Sophia all too well. She could tell Sophia was off. She kept messing up her words, tripping over her sentences two or three times in a row.

“Sophia, if you’re tired, let’s just take a break for a bit,” May said gently.

Sophia pinched the bridge of her nose and nodded.

May brought her a cup of coffee and sat down beside her. “Sophia, you still love Easton, don’t you?” Sophia didn’t answer.
