Gordon was feeling really down, silently hoping for a miracle.

Suddenly, there was a series of knocks at the door.

The doctor in charge came in with a nurse, just like he did every afternoon to check on Easton

Gordon and Stella quickly made room for them, stepping aside without needing to be told.

Just as the doctor finished the last round of checks on Easton, Gordon noticed Easton’s finger twitch.

He blinked, thinking he was imagining things, but when he leaned in for a closer look, Easton’s finger was definitely moving.

Gordon immediately called the doctor over for another check. With the doctor’s quick intervention, Easton finally started to come around, his eyes slowly fluttering open.

Stella was thrilled, but a flicker of worry crossed her mind. She thought, If Easton wakes up now and finds out what’s happening to the Roth family, will he drop everything and rush back to Jenston?
