328.Chapter 328
“Are you both dead or what? Not a single one of you will answer my calls.” Catherine kept cursing all the way to the parking
lot.
May and Sophia had just stepped out of the car when May nudged Sophia. “Hey, isn’t that Stella’s mom? Why is she going off like a crazy person in public?”
“Buzz, buzz, buzz…” Before Sophia could answer, her phone started buzzing in her bag.
“Sophia, have you seen the news?” It was Emily calling.
“Not yet. What’s up?” Sophia replied.
Emily spilled everything, from George being rushed to the hospital in a coma, to the Weston Group Tower getting hacked, and now the Weston residence going up in flames.
Emily was so loud and worked up that May, standing right next to Sophia, could hear every word.
After Sophia hung up, May remarked coldly, “Looks like karma finally caught up with them. Even the heavens can’t stand them anymore. The Weston family is finished.”
Sophia didn’t say much. The Weston family only had themselves to blame for ending up like this.
“It’s no surprise they ended up like this. Those who hurt others will eventually hurt themselves. Come on. Didn’t you say we were here to pick up Forrest’s meds?” Sophia said.
May linked arms with Sophia and headed toward the hospital building.

After Stella was taken away by Fletcher’s men, they brought her to a spot near the sea, not far from the Maritime Authority.
When she got out of the car and saw the endless ocean stretching out before her, her legs went weak with fear.
She stammered, “Sir, what are you doing bringing me here? Didn’t Easton say he was taking me to the police station? Why am I here instead?”
One bodyguard sneered, “Ms. Weston, after you threatened Mr. Foster like that, do you really think he’d let you show up at the police station and spill everything about Ms. Roth to the reporters?”
Stella’s face went pale with fear. “What do you mean? Is Easton trying to silence me for good?”
Another bodyguard pulled a coil of rope from the back of the car, walked up to her, and sneered, “What do you think?”
Stella frantically beat at the two bodyguards, her voice shrill with panic. “You can’t just kill me, it’s illegal! Easton’s too well- known in Jenston to get away with this.”
“Ms. Weston, looks like you really don’t know Mr. Foster at all. No wonder he’s never cared about you all these years,” the first bodyguard sneered.
Ignoring her frantic screams, the two bodyguards bound her tightly and threw her onto a private boat.
Then, the first bodyguard turned to the boat owner. “Get her to Windmere. There will be someone waiting for her over there.”
The boat owner nodded, shot Stella a hard look, and barked, “You’d better behave yourself. If you don’t, you’ll be suffering all the way.”
The two bodyguards watched as the boat owner pulled away, only leaving once the boat was out of sight.

Stella overheard what the two men said to the boat owner. Easton wasn’t going to kill her. Instead, he was banishing her to Windmere, some godforsaken place where she’d be living in hell.
Stella shuddered. ‘He’s cold–blooded, she thought, dread washing over her.
She forced herself to stay calm, remembering the folding knife she always carried. Her father always said a girl should keep something for self–defense whenever she was out on her own.
While the guys on the boat were busy and not watching her, she discreetly fished out the folding knife from her pocket and began to carefully cut through the ropes, little by little.
By midnight, when everyone on the boat had finally crashed, Stella slowly got up and slipped to the stern, staring out at the endless, pitch–black ocean, and panic flooded suc

“Sophia Roth, if I survive this, you’d better watch your buck. Comy for you,” Stella muttered. With that, she shut her eyes tight and leapt into the dark waves.
