372.Chapter 372
When Gordon got his phone back, he could tell Easton was in a way better mood than before. ‘Turns out, Sophia’s the only one who can still make Mr. Foster react like this,’ Gordon thought. Besides, with a kid between them, Gordon believed all those problems would probably get sorted out eventually.
By the time Sophia got back to Crestview Group, it was already seven in the evening.
The meeting with Japoria was about to start in ten minutes, so she rushed to her office, only to find May had spent the whole day working there.
“My precious Sophia, you’re finally back. I’ve been waiting here for you all day. If Emily hadn’t let me know just in time, I probably would’ve left already,” May said.
Sophia walked into the restroom to wash her hands. “Was it something urgent? Why didn’t you call me?”
May stood up to give Sophia her seat. “I did call, but you didn’t answer. Then I tried Emily, and she said you were super busy, so I decided not to bother you again.”
Sophia pulled out her phone and checked. Sure enough, she’d missed a call from May.
May shook her head and sighed. “It’s nothing urgent. There’s an agreement at Rothea Designs I looked over today, and something seemed off. I just wanted to run it by you.”
Sophia took the file from May. “This is the contract addendum for Virginia’s chain hotels in Haverton. I haven’t had a chance to look at it yet.”
May had circled the issues in red. “Sophia, check this out. When Crestview Group acquired Rothea Designs, we agreed that any domestic partnerships needed our authorization first.
“So far, only Crestview Group and Foster Group have that.
“But Virginia’s contract says her hotel chain plans to open locations all over the country within a year, and they must use Rothea Designs for the designs.
“If you sign this, Rothea Designs would be obligated to work for them, no questions asked.
“We should talk to them first, make sure we charge them the right fees, and then issue an official authorization. That’s the only way to protect Rothea Designs.”
Sophia frowned instinctively. “I see. I’ll hop on the meeting with Jason now and mention this addendum. I’ll have Jason get in touch with Virginia’s assistant.”
May nodded. “Okay. Please go ahead. I’ll wait here. Let’s head out together later.”
Before the meeting wrapped up, Sophia flagged the issue May had just spotted to Jason, asking him to get in touch with Virginia’s team in Haverton as soon as possible.
Sophia turned off her laptop and glanced over at May, who was sitting on the couch, gazing at her phone with a lovesick smile as she video chatted with Ryan.
Sophia couldn’t help but grin to herself. ‘Women in love really do love to rub their happiness in everyone’s face, no matter where they are, she thought.
As she was tidying up her files, Sophia picked up an official letter from Foster Group, and it hit her that she’d promised to call Easton at ten tonight.
She checked the time, and it was two minutes to ten.
Sophia pulled out her phone, took Easton’s number off her blocked contacts, and was just about to dial.
But before her finger even touched the call button, Easton’s call popped up right at ten.
Sophia hesitated for a moment before picking up. “Hello?”
Easton’s deep, magnetic voice came through the line. “Guess you didn’t forget to call me after all.”

372.Chapter 372
After all this time, Easton finally got through to Sophia, which meant she’d just taken his number off her blocked list and was about to call him herself.
Sophia didn’t waste any time and went straight to talking about Lucas staying at Windmere Estate this weekend.
“What about you? Aren’t you coming back, too?” Easton asked.
