Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 377

377.Chapter 377

Sophia was about to refuse, but Irene had already walked into the room.

Lucas came over and grabbed her hand. “Mommy, don’t go, okay?”

Sophia crouched down and gave Lucas a hug. She just couldn’t bring herself to leave him.

Even though she knew Easton and Irene would dote on him, seeing Lucas so unwilling to let her go really broke her heart.

Easton walked over. “Bernard has already cleaned up the master bedroom. You and Lucas can sleep there from now on.”

Sophia glanced at Lucas, seeing him looking all upset and miserable. If she left now, he’d probably have trouble sleeping tonight.

‘Eh, it’s just one night. He’ll get used to it after a few more sleepovers, Sophia thought to herself.

Sophia stood up and gave Easton a calm glance. After a moment’s hesitation, she said, “Okay.” After lunch, Allison realized she had no reason to stick around at the Foster Estate, so she left early.

But after driving down to the foot of the mountain, she waited for ages and still didn’t see Sophia come out, wondering if Sophia would stay overnight.

But Allison quickly figured it out. After watching them at lunch, she could tell Sophia was still pretty cold toward Easton.

Especially when the topic of Maria came up, Sophia seemed totally clueless and didn’t care at all about what happened between Easton and his mom when he was a kid.

‘Looks like they still haven’t patched things up, Allison thought.

As long as they hadn’t reconciled, she believed she would have chances.

Allison turned to look back at Windmere Estate, her eyes full of determination, believing she’d become the only hostess there.

Derrick had a dinner meeting with a client at the Summit Hotel tonight. As he was heading downstairs, he bumped into Eleanore.

He was about to turn and walk away, but Eleanore stepped right in front of him, blocking his path.

“Derrick, why do you always act like I’m invisible? Am I a ghost or something? Are you really that scared to see me?” Eleanore said, her tone half-joking, half-annoyed.

Derrick glanced at her, clearly not interested in talking. His car was right outside, but she was standing right in ‘his way.

He gave her forehead a little push, trying to put some space between them. With a half-smirk, he said, “Dr. Keats, isn’t it a little awkward to block me like this with everyone watching?”

Eleanore stared him down. “I’ve called you a bunch of times, and you didn’t pick up once. You didn’t even reply to my WhatsApp.

“Just because we’re not dating anymore doesn’t mean we’re not friends, right? Why are you ignoring me like this?”

Derrick chuckled in amusement. “We’re done, so why are we still talking? You want me to call you for a booty call when I’m bored?”

Eleanore’s face instantly flushed red.

Derrick casually shoved his hands into his pockets. “Dr. Keats, exes should be dead to you, not popping up in your face all the time and definitely not clinging on.

“Honestly, I think I’m a pretty great ex, so do me a favor and step aside.”

Eleanore bit her lower lip, her eyes instantly welling up with tears.

Seeing Eleanore so upset, Derrick clenched his hands in his pocket, trying to steady himself.

“Derrick, did my mom say something to you back then? Was that why you broke up with me?” she asked, her voice shaky.

Eleanore never bought Derrick’s excuse that they broke up over something so minor, or that they just “weren’t a good match”.

Then people started gossiping that he’d cheated on her with some other girl. But when Eleanore tracked that girl down, she swore Derrick hadn’t even said a single word to her.

Eleanore spent three years searching for him, but Derrick dodged her every time.

And if Derrick really meant it when he said they should cut all ties, then why did he have people secretly

tracking her down, even knowing she’d moved back to Jenston a year before?
