Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 395

395.Chapter 395

395.Chapter 395

Easton rushed back to the master bedroom, grabbed his phone, and called Ryan, telling him to get the family doctor over immediately.

Then he went to the bathroom, prepared a basin of warm water and some rubbing alcohol, and brought them to Lucas’s room, hoping to lower his fever with a cold compress.

After getting Easton’s call, Ryan quickly arranged for the deputy hospital director and came straight to Silvermoon Bay, “Easton, how’s Lucas holding up?” Ryan asked as he stepped inside.

Easton had just wiped down Lucas’s hands and feet with warm water. His temperature seemed to drop a little, but he was still feeling awful.

“Daddy, hold me,” Lucas murmured, his voice sweet and weak.

Easton’s heart twisted with worry for him.

“Hang in there, buddy. Daddy’s here. Ryan brought the doctor, so let’s let him check you out first, okay?” Easton said softly.

Lucas buried his face in Easton’s chest and shook his head. “I don’t want a shot. I don’t want any medicine. I want Mommy…

As he spoke, he started to sob.

Easton held him close, gently rubbing his back to comfort him. “Lucas, be good. We’re strong boys, aren’t we? No matter what happens, we have to be brave.

Easton continued, “Mommy’s still busy in Japoria, but Daddy’s right here with you. Let’s let the doctor take a quick look, okay?”

Lucas was still sniffling, but he nodded in agreement.

Easton held Lucas close as the doctor examined him.

After a moment, the doctor pulled away the stethoscope, and Easton asked anxiously, “Doctor, how’s my son doing?”

The doctor frowned, with concerns in his eyes. “Mr. Foster, Lucas had surgery not long ago, so his immune system is still pretty weak.

“There have been a lot of sick kids at his kindergarten lately, and he picked up a cold.

“The germs have gotten into his digestive system and caused some inflammation, which is why his fever shot up so suddenly.”

Lucas’s fever spiked again, and Easton could feel it clearly as he held him close.

The doctor pulled out some medicine and syringes from his bag. “Mr. Foster, if Lucas won’t get the shot, his fever will probably keep coming back over and over.”

Easton looked down at Lucas, his face full of worry and tenderness. “Lucas, the doctor says we need to give you a shot. Do you think you can handle it?”

Lucas remembered what his dad had said. He was a boy, and he had to be strong, no matter what.

He nodded. “Daddy, I’m not scared.”

Easton felt a surge of pride and relief. ‘That’s my boy, he thought.

After the doctor gave Lucas the shot, his fever finally broke about half an hour later. He broke out in a sweat, but his temperature was back to normal at last.

But due to the infection and the cold, Lucas started sneezing and coughing. Before heading out, the doctor wrote a prescription and made sure Easton knew exactly how to give Lucas his medicine.

Seeing Easton busy taking care of Lucas and having no time to talk, Ryan checked the time. It was already noon, so he drove the deputy hospital director back.

Once he got back to the hospital, Ryan couldn’t help but call Easton again. “Easton, is Lucas feeling any better?”

Easton stepped out of Lucas’s room, keeping his voice low. “His fever’s gone for now, but he’s still coughing fiercely. I just gave him his medicine and managed to get him to sleep.”

Ryan let out a sigh of relief. ‘At least his fever’s Successfully unlocked!

Lately, the hospital had been packed with children and cluclly is, all because of the flu. Some of them even had pneumonia as their conditions worsened.
