Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 403

403 Chapter 403

403.Chapter 403

After finishing her work, Sophia was about to go spend some time with Lucas.

She was still feeling pretty down, all because of May.

When it came to love, even the smartest and most independent women could get thrown off.

Sophia closed the file, took a deep breath, and reminded herself not to look back. Things were fine as they were now.

At least Lucas believed that even after the divorce, his parents could still be friends.

This way, Lucas could grow up in a healthy environment and be happy.

Meanwhile, she had way fewer things to stress about now.

Right now, Sophia figured that throwing herself into her work was the best thing she could do.

Easton had always been in good shape, so he bounced back fast.

When Sophia went downstairs, she saw him in comfy lounge-wear, hands in his pockets, watching Lucas draw.

He seemed way more relaxed than he was the previous night.

Sophia didn’t seem fazed at all by this morning’s little incident. She was totally chill.

“Feeling better?” she asked.

Easton nodded. “Yeah. I’m fine now.”

“I made some light dishes this morning. Did you have any?” Sophia asked.

“Not yet,” Easton replied.

Sophia headed to the kitchen and brought out some light dishes, placing them on the table.

“The food’s temperature is perfect right now. Try it. You’ll need to take your medicine soon, so you should eat something first to line your stomach,” she said.

Easton smiled, sat down at the table, grabbed a knife and a fork, and started eating. “This is really good,” he remarked.

That was the feeling of being at home.

Sophia gave a small smile. “Take your time. I’m going to spend some time with Lucas.”

Seeing Sophia leave the dining room, Easton stood up as well. “Can we talk for a minute?”

Though a bit confused, Sophia nodded in response and took a seat across from Easton.

Easton said, “I want you and Lucas to move back to Silvermoon Bay. It’s not that the Roth residence isn’t nice, but Silvermoon Bay is more spacious, and the air’s fresher here.

“Most importantly, it’s close to both Windmere Estate and the Roth residence. It’ll be much easier for you to take Lucas over whenever you want to.

“Don’t worry. If you and Lucas move back here, I’ll stay at Grandview Estate, I’ll only come by on weekends to pick up Lucas and take him to see Grandma.”

Sophia hadn’t expected Easton to suggest that. Honestly, she didn’t really care where she and Lucas stayed.

But for Lucas’s sake, Silvermoon Bay was definitely a great choice. It was spacious, with fresh air, and close to his kindergarten.

Still, as Sophia looked around this house that felt both familiar and strange, she couldn’t help but feel a little uneasy.

After all, the house held too many unhappy memories for her.

Seeing Sophia stay silent, Easton thought she didn’t want to.

“If you don’t like it, just pretend I never said anything,” he said.

Sophia looked up at him. “Easton, you’re Lucas’s father. Since we agreed to raise Lucas together, I’ve always respected your ideas about what kind of life you want for him.

“Just give me a little time to think it over, and I’ll let you know in a couple of days, okay?”

Seeing that Sophia didn’t turn him down right away, Easton was filled with joy.

“Alright,” he agreed.

Sophia’s phone rang just as she stood up.

Successfully unlocked!

“Hey, Frank,” she said, picking up. “No, I’m free. What’s up?”

403 Chapter 403

Sophia walked over to the living room, sat down on the couch, and started discussing work with Frank.

Easton knew it was Frank calling. That two-faced jerk just wouldn’t quit.

He stood off to the side in the living room, hands in his pockets, listening to Sophia talk business with Frank.

The warmth on his face disappeared in an instant, his gaze turning icy and sharp.

“Alright, I understand. I’ll drop by the office tomorrow. Once the plan’s in place, I’ll reach out to you,” Sophia said.
