408.Chapter 408
Sophia sat down at her desk and fired up her computer. She had to get cracking on the Angel Fund’s fundraising campaign.
Emily said, “Sophia, Mr. Hayes called earlier. I told him you were in a meeting and you’d call him back later.”
Sophia nodded. “Got it. I’ll call him back once I’m done here.”
Sophia studied the email closely. It was from Ryan.
‘Hope Trust Charity?’ she pondered in surprise.
The legal rep of that institute was actually Fletcher.
‘Is this organization somehow tied to Easton?’ she wondered.
Sophia pushed those thoughts aside and started digging into the details about HopeTrust Charity.
She quickly noticed that this organization had organized medical aid for poor areas domestically more than once, and even made regular donations to orphanages in struggling countries overseas.
The founder was Easton.
That confirmed the charity was just another one of Easton’s personal projects.
While continuing to read, Sophia saw that over the years, Easton had helped tons of elderly folks and kids in the mountain regions get medical care.
Also, it even pitched in for refugees overseas who’d been driven from their homes by war.
Her eyes widened while seeing the mention of “A UN medal”.

Only then did Sophia realize Easton wasn’t only some hotshot businessman but also a big deal in the charity world, famous
even overseas.
Honestly, in some countries, he’d get the full red carpet treatment.
Now that Hope Trust Charity was in the mix, Sophia didn’t even have to consider any other organizations.
She called Ryan right away, and they discussed ideas for the fundraising campaign. It didn’t take long for them to reach an agreement.
Afraid Sophia might change her mind, Ryan quickly arranged to bring the contract over this afternoon so they could go over it together.
“Sure, that works,” Sophia replied.
Ryan followed up, “Ms. Roth, will May be there for the legal meeting this afternoon?”
As Crestview’s legal advisor, May should be there.
Besides, she was back in Jenston, but Sophia remembered May had told her she didn’t want to see Ryan anymore.
She replied, “May’s got other things to handle today. Our legal rep from Crestview Group will be the one working with Hope Trust this afternoon.”
Ryan felt a wave of disappointment as he hadn’t heard from May in days.
He’d been hoping that going to Crestview Group in person that afternoon would finally give him a chance to see her.
But his wish couldn’t come true.
Just as Sophia ended the call, May walked into the office.
“Sophia, Frank said he couldn’t reach you and wanted to know if we’re free for lunch today,” May said.
May’s reminder made Sophia realize she’d forgotten to call Frank back.
Since she needed to turn down the charity Frank had recommended, she decided to talk to him about it over lunch.
“Alright. Just let him know we will,” Sophia said.
May nodded, picked up her phone, and called Frank. They quickly agreed on a time and place for lunch.
When lunchtime rolled around, Sophia headed out of Crestview with May and Emily in tow.
They’d picked a newly opened fine restaurant in Jenston for their meal.
Frank was already waiting for them in a private room.
Successfully unlocked!
“Hey Frank, sorry to keep you waiting,” Sophia apologized
Frank smiled warmly. “No worries. I was just early.”

408.Chapter 408
After lunch, Sophia finally got to the real reason she wanted to meet with Frank.
“Frank, looks like we can’t team up this time, but maybe next time,” Sophia said.
No matter how bummed Frank was inside, he just acted like it was no big deal.
“Sophia, so which charity did you pick, if you don’t mind telling me?” Frank asked.
Sophia set down her water glass. “HopeTrust Charity.”
When Frank heard it was Hope Trust Charity, his eyes darkened with a flash of anger, but he quickly composed himself and put on a calm face.
‘So it really was Easton behind all this,’ Frank thought to himself.
