“Mr. Hayes, are you here to talk Crestview business with Sophia?” Easton suddenly spoke up, his voice low and cold.

Frank’s expression turned icy. He knew Easton was sending a clear warning.

When it came to Weston Group chasing Crestview, Frank knew exactly what Hayes Group had done behind the scenes.

With Easton’s arrival, the atmosphere in the room grew even colder.

Her brows knitted for a moment.

Easton could tell Sophia was starting to get annoyed.

He didn’t dare say anything more. He really didn’t want to upset her. But he just couldn’t stand the thought of her being alone with Frank.

Easton cleared his throat before speaking, “Sophia, I forgot my medicine when I left home today. The doctor told me I need to take it after meals.

“I remember you’ve got Lucas’s meds in your car. I checked with the doctor this morning, and he said it’s fine for me to take them, just need to up the dosage a bit. Could you grab it for me?”

Sophia shot him a glare. ‘Such a pain in the neck, she thought.

If it weren’t for how carefully he had looked after Lucas, she really wouldn’t bother with him at all.

“Alright, I’ll go get it from the car,” she agreed.

Sophia grabbed her car keys and left the room.

Of course, Easton followed right behind her.

Seeing that, Frank figured there was no point in sticking around. He let May and Ryan know he was heading out, then left

as well.

Sophia walked over to her car, grabbed the medicine, and closed the door. When she turned around, she bumped right into Easton’s solid chest.

“Easton, could you not just pop up behind me out of nowhere every single time?” Sophia grumbled, rubbing her forehead in

annoyance.

Easton let out a low chuckle and gently rubbed her forehead for her.

“Sorry. I figured you’d be used to me always showing up right behind you,” he said.

Sophia shot him a glare.

“Does it still hurt?” Easton asked.

Before Sophia could even process what was happening, Easton gently grabbed her wrist and pulled her back inside the

restaurant.

As Frank was coming downstairs, he saw them walking toward him, hand in hand.

“Frank, are you heading out already?” Sophia called out.

Frank deliberately looked away from their joined hands, keeping his usual warm smile.

He answered, “Yeah. Something urgent came up at the office, so I have to go. Let’s catch up another time.”

“Alright,” Sophia replied with a gentle smile.

After Frank left, Sophia felt Easton tighten his hold on her wrist.

She quickly swatted his hand away. “Don’t pull me around in front of everyone.”

Easton slipped one hand into his pocket, kept rubbing her forehead with the other, and said, all serious, “Have lunch with me.”

“No way. I just finished eating,” Sophia said, dodging his hand.

Easton knew how stubborn she could be, so he just ignored her protests, took her by the wrist, and led her straight into the private room Charles had reserved for them.

Easton poured her a glass of water. “Are you an idiot? You and May are close, and Ryan and I are just the same. Is there anything I don’t know?”

Easton gave her a look so full of affection, and it was almost ridiculous.

Suddenly, the word “doting” flashed through Sophia’s mind.
