Allison said, “Ms. Roth, don’t get me wrong. I’m not here to ruin things between you and Easton.

“I’m just being upfront about how I feel about him. I want a fair chance to go after Easton, just like you,” Allison added, looking her straight in the eye, honest as can be.

Sophia smiled lightly, her face calmed. “Allison, I think you misunderstood. Easton and I ended things six years ago.

“Yes, we have a kid, but I’ve never wanted to get back together with him. As for him liking me, that’s just his own wishful thinking.

“Allison, I respect your honesty. From now on, you don’t need to keep me in the loop about you and him. And honestly, I hope it works out for you,” Sophia said, her tone genuine.

Allison hadn’t expected Sophia to say that. She thought, ‘Is she really over Easton?

After Allison got out of the car, she watched as Sophia drove away, her eyes darkening with resolve.

‘Do you really think I would fall for that, Sophia?’ Allison thought. She gave a mocking laugh. ‘No matter. I’ve got all the time and patience I need, she thought.*

In the Crestview Group, Emily said, “Sophia, here are the materials for tomorrow’s Angel Fund and HopeTrust Charity fundraiser.

“Also, I just got an email from the Hayes Group. They’re donating 30 million dollars under their name, plus thirty pieces of medical equipment.”

Sophia was in high spirits. With Ryan in charge, the fundraiser was already set to kick off tomorrow. Even though they had only started planning less than ten days ago.
