Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 423

423.Chapter 423

423.Chapter 423

“You…” Mrs. Quinn thought Sophia was absolutely out of line. But today’s charity event was hosted by Ryan and the Angel Fund of Crestview Group. She had to play nice for the sake of the occasion, even if she hated Sophia’s guts.

Plus, her daughter’s engagement to the Howard family hadn’t been announced yet, and the last thing Mrs. Quinn wanted was any gossip getting out before it was official.

Sophia’s sharp gaze swept over the socialites in the room, and she met the eyes of Mrs. Quinn and Sylvia without flinching.” Are you going to leave on your own, or do you want me to call security and have you escorted out?”

Sylvia, fuming, shoved her way through the crowd and stormed out.

Emily had hardly ever seen Sophia this mad. “Sophia, don’t pay any attention to them. These rich girls wouldn’t dare look down on anyone if their families weren’t loaded. Just don’t let what they say bother you.”

Sophia’s eyes turned cold. She wasn’t upset with herself. She had heard way worse, and that was years ago.

But hearing them talk about May like that made Sophia’s heart ache, and her anger only grew. She couldn’t take it any longer.

Right after Sophia finished her speech and stepped off the stage, Easton instructed Gordon to hand both the Foster Group’

donation and his own personal contribution directly to Ryan, so Ryan could handle them himself.

“Mr. Foster, I just overheard a few socialites whispering that Sophia actually got physical with Sylvia Quinn,” Gordon said.

Easton’s gaze darkened as he idly traced the rim of his glass, his tongue pressing against his cheek. “Go find out what really happened.”

“Yes, Mr. Foster,” Gordon replied, then hurried off with his assistant.

Easton looked around the venue, but Sophia was nowhere in sight. He knew she wasn’t someone who would lose her temper without good reason. If she actually took action, the other party must have really crossed the line.

‘Was it really Sylvia, the Quinn family’s only daughter?’ Easton thought.

He pulled out his phone and called Ryan.

Moments later, Easton and Ryan, the two big shots, were sitting in the security room. The place was so quiet it was almost creepy. The air felt thin, suffocating with tension. The hotel manager was so nervous he barely dared to breathe.

The security footage kept replaying the scene over and over.

It said: [Sophia’s just an orphan, grew up without parents, so of course, she has more scheming than any of us.

[But me? I’m the only daughter of the Quinn family. My parents love me to bits. I don’t even have to lift a finger to get such a good marriage. Some people are just born lucky, I suppose.

[If Sophia didn’t look so much like Stella, do you really think Easton would have ever noticed her, let alone let her have his child? Honestly, for all we know, maybe she drugged him to get pregnant in the first place.]

As Easton listened to Sylvia and the other socialites gossip, his expression grew visibly colder, and the temperature in the room seemed to drop several degrees.

“Ryan, Sylvia is your fiancée in name. Are you going to deal with her yourself, or do you want me to take care of it?” Easton

asked.

Every word was a warning. Easton wasn’t about to let Sylvia walk away unscathed.

Ryan had never cared much for the Quinn family, but when he heard Sylvia talking trash about May, he was already seething with rage. Easton didn’t even need to say a word. Ryan had already decided Sylvia wasn’t getting away with this.

“Easton, I’ll make sure you and Sophia get the justice you deserye,” Ryan said.

Easton rose to his feet, buttoning his jacket as he strode past the hotel staff. The chilling aura he exuded was so intense that everyone nearby couldn’t help but shudder.
