Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 431

431 Chapter 431

431.Chapter 431

The photography exhibition in Greenwich was only open for a week, and Sophia had to fight tooth and nail to snag tickets online.

“Frank, if I’d known you had your work featured here, I wouldn’t have had to camp out in front of my computer just to score a ticket,” Sophia joked.

Frank walked beside her, a doting look flickering in his eyes for a moment.

“I never thought you would be into this kind of thing,” he said.

As they walked, Sophia chatted, “When I was in Japoria, I used to travel solo all over the world just to catch photography and art shows.

“Frank, you probably never knew. My mom was really into painting. If she were still around, she might’ve made quite a name for herself as an artist.”

Sadness and longing were clear in Sophia’s eyes. Frank gently patted her shoulder. “You’ve already accomplished what she couldn’t. You’re a renowned interior designer now, aren’t you?”

Sophia shared a warm, understanding smile with Frank as their eyes met.

“When did you figure it out?” she asked.

Frank knew exactly what she meant. “Last time you were having dinner with Jason, the operations director at Rothea Designs, I overheard you talking shop about design.

“If you weren’t a seasoned interior designer, there’s no way you could’ve thrown around those industry terms so effortlessly. That’s when I put two and two together.”

Sophia nodded. “You’re really sharp, Frank.”

Frank chuckled. “Sophia, I’m guessing most of your design ideas are sparked by photography and art, aren’t they?”

Sophia smiled playfully and shot him a big thumbs-up.

Three days later, in the afternoon, after Frank and Sophia wrapped up their visit to the photography exhibition, Frank grinned, “It’s not every day you come to Greenwich. How about I show you around and we grab dinner together?”

Sophia glanced at her phone for a time. “Sure, sounds good.”

“Hey, Junior, have you booked your flight back to Jenston yet?” Frank asked.

Sophia shook her head. “Not yet. Work has been light at Crestview lately, so I thought I would take advantage and stay a bit longer.”

Frank nodded. “I’ve finished up my work too. If you’re up for it, I can be your personal tour guide for the next couple of days, free of charge.”

Sophia stayed quiet, trying to figure out how to respond to Frank’s offer.

Frank reassured her, “Don’t get the wrong idea. I’ve actually got something important to take care of here.”

Sophia looked up at him.

Frank flashed a gentle smile. “Edward had me meet with Miss Kerr from RapidTech Solutions yesterday. I’ll be sticking around Greenwich for the next couple of days to spend some time with her, so I won’t be heading back to Jenston just yet.”

Sophia blinked in surprise. “Wait, Frank, are you really planning to marry Miss Kerr? Is this one of those family matchmaking deals?”

Frank nodded.

“That’s awesome! Frank, you’re pushing thirty. It’s about time you started thinking about your future,” Sophia said, her smile sincere as she truly felt happy for him.

A flicker of disappointment flashed in Frank’s eyes. He had thought Sophia would at least look a little upset when she heard he was about to go on a matchmaking date.

But she didn’t.

‘So that’s it. She never had any feelings for me, successfully unlocked! thought.

After dinner, Frank drove Sophia back to her hotel. Just as she stepped out of the car, a group of rowdy young guys chasing each other on the sidewalk crashed into her, knocking her to the ground.

“Sophia, are you okay?” Frank hurried out of the car and helped her up.

Sophia winced, rubbing her palm. “Got a nasty scrape on my hand.”

Frank watched as the guys disappeared down the street. No point in chasing after them now.

“Let me walk you up. I’ll ask the hotel concierge for some medicine and get you patched up,” he said.

Sophia gritted her teeth against the pain and nodded.

Frank helped Sophia back to her hotel room, then called the front desk to have some bandages and antiseptic sent up.
