He gently cleaned her wound. “I just wrapped it up for now. Try not to get it wet these next few days. If it starts hurting a lot
or you get a fever, let me know right away, and I’ll take you to see a doctor.”
Sophia gave him a faint smile. “Sorry for the trouble, Frank. I appreciate it.”
Frank didn’t stick around for long and left the hotel.
Once he got back to his car, he called Allison. “Was that whole thing with those punks your idea?”
Allison smirked. “Of course. If I hadn’t set it up, how else would you have gotten into Sophia’s room so easily?”
Frank’s eyes darkened. “Next time, no matter what you’re planning, don’t let Sophia get hurt.”
Allison let out a low laugh. “Mr. Hayes, it’s just a scratch. No need to get so worked up. I’ve already had someone snap some photos. Just stick to the script.”
After hanging up, Frank looked up at the hotel entrance, his eyes clouded with mixed emotions.

Easton was swamped with work at the Cedarica branch, stuck in endless meetings every single day. The research center in Menolia had cranked out a batch of faulty products, and before anyone even realized there was an issue, some had already hit the market.
That was exactly why Easton had come over: to clean up the mess. Luckily, the ops director in Cedarica really knew his stuff and managed to fix everything without spending much.
With things pretty much sorted out, Easton realized they’d been stuck in Cedarica for almost a week now. After Sophia texted him that night, she had gone radio silent. And most of the messages he sent her? Just got left on reading, no reply at all.
“Tell the airport we’re heading back to Jenston in an hour,” Easton said.
Gordon had just knocked and walked into the office when he got the news from Easton.
“Mr. Foster, are we really heading back to Jenston? Not going to Greenwich?” Gordon asked.
Easton looked up, confused. “Why would we go to Greenwich?”
“Mrs. Irene Foster called me this morning. She said Sophia went to Greenwich for work a few days ago, and once you finish up here, she wants you to go to Greenwich to pick Sophia up before heading back to Jenston,” Gordon explained.
Gordon repeated Irene’s instructions to Easton just as she had told him that morning.
“Sophia went to Greenwich?” Easton asked, surprised.
Gordon nodded. “Mrs. Irene Foster said she texted you this morning, but maybe you were busy with meetings and missed it, so she called me instead.”
Easton pulled out his phone and checked. Sure enough, Irene had sent him a message earlier that morning.
“Is Crestview running any projects in Greenwich?” Easton asked.
Gordon paused, then said, “Not that I know of.”
Easton frowned. “Check where Sophia is right now.”
“Yes, Mr. Foster,” Gordon replied.
Fifteen minutes later, Gordon knocked and came back in. “Easton, I checked. Sophia is actually in Greenwich for a photography show.”
Easton nodded. “Let the airport know we need to reroute. We’re flying to Greenwich in an hour.”
“Got it,” Gordon replied.
The plane touched down at Greenwich Airport around half past twelve.
As soon as Easton stepped off the plane, he tried calling Sophia, but her phone was unreachable. He just couldn’t get through, no matter how many times he dialed.
As Easton and Gordon walked through the Greenwich Airport terminal, they overheard people around them gossiping, phones out and screens lit up.
“Whoa, the Hayes Group heir is wild. First, he v/ Successfully unlocked! Miss Kerr, and everyone was talking about a
marriage alliance. Then the next thing you know, he has checked into a hotel with another woman.”
“Seriously, could this just be rumors? I heard the Hayes family’s young master has a pretty solid reputation back in Jenston.”

“Nah, there are photos. See for yourself! And that woman? She looks super familiar.”
Many people were discussing.
Easton lowered his voice, “Is the Hayes Group heir they’re talking about Frank?”
Gordon had already whipped out his phone to check the news as soon as he heard the gossip. The moment he saw the headlines, his eyes went wide. He nearly dropped his phone.
“Mr. Foster, it’s all over the hot search. Everyone is talking about Mr. Hayes and Ms. Roth,” Gordon stammered, still in shock.
