Replacement Bride Left With His Baby (Sophia and Easton) novel Chapter 437

437.Chapter 437

437.Chapter 437

Sophia and Easton were shocked when they heard Lucas had nearly fallen down the stairs today. They rushed over to him.” Lucas, are you hurt?”

Lucas shook his head, hanging it low, looking guilty. “I’m fine. Allison was the one who got hurt.”

Sophia glanced at Allison’s elbow. It was the same spot she’d injured last time saving her, and now it was hurt again.

The wound that had only just healed had split open again.

Sophia took Lucas’s hand. “Allison, thank you. Did you take care of the wound yet? I’ll ask the butler to bring the first aid kit. Let me clean it for you.”

Allison smiled. “It’s fine. Grace already put some medicine on it after I brought them back. I’m okay now. Please don’t blame Grace. The mall had an event today, so it was packed.

“Lucas got excited when he saw the anime characters and couldn’t help but get closer. Grace was holding his hand the whole time, but there were just too many people, and she and Mia got pushed away. Luckily, Lucas is fine.”

Allison patted Lucas’s head, instinctively glancing at Easton first, then at Sophia. “I had to go to the mall for work today because a client needed something. I just happened to see Lucas and the others there.”

After hearing Allison’s explanation, Easton pretty much understood what had happened.

He said in a calm voice, “Good thing you were there.”

Sophia nodded at Allison. “Allison, thank you so much for what you did today. Why don’t you stay for dinner tonight? Later, Easton can have the driver take you home.”

Allison replied, “Sure, thank you, Sophia.”

Buzz. It was the sound of a mobile phone.

“Sophia, is your phone vibrating?” Easton simply pointed it out as he stood beside her.

Sophia fished her phone out of her pocket. It was May calling. “You guys keep chatting. I’ll just step out and answer this.”

Sophia stepped out into the front yard to take the call.

“Babe, you’re back in Jenston now, right?” May asked.

“Yeah, I’m back. Ryan arranged a helicopter to fly us straight to Windmere Estate,” Sophia replied.

“I know,” May said casually, which caught Sophia off guard.

“You know? So you and Ryan are good now?” Sophia asked.

“Sort of. Mrs. Howard actually came to see me,” May replied. Now that things had settled, she told Sophia about the day Sylvia hit her and how Mrs. Howard had come over to apologize in person.

“May, we’re closer than real sisters, and you didn’t even tell me something this important? If I’d known she hit you, I wouldn’ t have let her walk away that night,” Sophia said, feeling really bad for May.

May tried to comfort her. “It’s fine, really. It’s all in the past now. Ryan already gave her a piece of his mind. Let’s just move on. Honestly, I’m more worried about you.”

Sophia sighed. “There’s nothing going on between Frank and me. It was just an accident. I feel really guilty about it. I’m worried this might mess up the marriage deal between their families,””

May said, “Ten minutes ago, both Rapid Tech Solutions and Hayes Group put out statements on their official websites. They’re not planning any marriage alliance.”

Sophia said, “I knew it. This really did mess things up for them. They only put out that statement to keep their companies running smoothly. I feel so guilty. Frank could’ve had a great marriage, but now it’s all messed up because of these rumors.

“If I hadn’t agreed to go to the photography exhibition with him, none of this would’ve happened. I should’ve just said no that day, kept things strictly friendly. Usually, I’m super cautious, but this time I really dropped the ball,” Sophia felt really guilty.
